855 is a "toll-free" area code, and legitimate calls don't come from those.  It is a faked caller ID.  Toll-free is for inbound calls only, they are forwarded numbers NOT assigned to an actual phone, so it is not even possible to make a call FROM a toll-free number.  So, we don't answer calls from toll-free area codes because THEY ARE ALL FAKE.  Blocked their number in Google Voice and their scamminess won't ring through to my phone again.

I answered but all i hear is background office noise. Probably didn't hear me answer because of the delay routing my call.

Darn...  Wanted to toy with a telemarketer, but they hung up just as I answered.

Donald with Interest Energy (that's what it sounded like) was wanting to give us a quote to see if they can save us some money on our electric bill. I told him to call corporate since they pay our electric bill. Lots of noise in the background. Even heard a radio playing.

Darn part deux.  Still wanting to toy with them, but they keep hanging up.

I didn't answer but the guy left a message from this number and another number with a totally different area code. Same guy, says he is with Global Power and wants to talk to me about my power bill...
If he is trying to sell me cheaper electricity he obviously didn't do his research, the City power company in my area owns a monopoly on electricity and othet power companies aren't allowed to market to people in our city... Ridiculous but true.

3rd time, no charm.  How can you successfully run a telemarketing campaign if you don't talk to people who answer?

Annoying.. mentioned that they were trying to save us on Electricity Rates and each time I asked to be removed from their list they said that they have no list. I asked them 3 times to take us off and each time they continued to ask me questions. Finally I said, "Look, I don't want to receive any more calls from you!" And she said, "Sorry, I'm at the bottom of the totem pole here" and hung up -_-

Called back and the number doesn't work.

Mike from Global Power called. 3 question survey about electeic bill. I politely declined and asked to be removed from the calling list.

They cannot save us any money anyway as we're 100% off the Grid.

They call this office every day and when I answer they hang up.  I call back and no one answers.  So annoying.

They say they are Global Power and want to conduct a survey of my electric usage.  I repeatedly decline and they either respond rudely or quickly hang up.  The last one named 'Heather' tells me she will just keep calling.
Caller id says 855-978-3856 but when you call it, it says not in service.  It's a scam!

This number called my business phone.
I answered
Me: "Business Name, Matt speaking, how may I help you".
Him: This is NAME, from Some Energy Company.
Me: What is this pertaining to?
Him: I'd like to speak to the person in charge of paying your Power Bills. We can save you 20 percent of your current rate.
Me: Not interested, I'm happy with our current electricity bill. CLICK

Person immediately calls back:
Him: What would you say if I offered you...
Me: I'm not interested. Please place us on your No-Call list. CLICK

try using "mrnumber.com"   I have used it for several years now.  It is a fantastic FREE call blocking app.  I have an android cell phone, but think it works on iPhone as well.  It is one of the best free apps I have ever found.

What a very unprofessional caller!  Tried to state he had an appointment with someone, then got mad when that person was not available.  Stated he was trying to save our company $ on our electric.  When told we are part of a Coop with a corporate nationally know company he got even more mad.  I stated I would give him a corporate number to call and while looking up the number he used very vulgar and crude words!  I immediately told him he was not to call back nor would I pass along the number he requested.

Got a call from this number, the person on the other end would not take no for an answer.  Have had several calls from this number.  I now concider this harassment

Has called eight times this morning and has not left a message.  I did not pick up due to "unknown number" being displayed.  If they don't leave a message, then they are always telemarketers.

Brandon calls says he talked to Mr. T by cell phone and Mr. T told him to tell me to give him a copy of our TXU bill.  I do not think so and how would you have Mr. T's cell number?  And you might want to call him by the correct name next time you say you spoke with him!  Idiots!
