Got a call from 856-200-8095. Did a *67 call block call back - a message said number is not in service.

I then called from a different number - this is a collections agency, perhaps even a scammer trying to get information for credit identity theft purposes. They claimed they were collecting a debt on behalf of a medical company.

The thing is, I don't owe any money to anybody. They're either incredibly incompetent or they are scammers. As soon as I mentioned the FDCPA Act Fair Debt Credit Protection Act they were very fast to get off the line

frequent calls through out the day, told them to take me off do not call list days ago.They still call very rude, so annoying!

When rec'd a call from this number noone said nothing after I answered.

I have attempted to call block the number noted below.  I have attempted to call them back . . . each attempt leads me to a message that they are not in service.  I attempted to call them from another number, as you mentioned, and received the same message.  Do you have further suggestions how I can stop these annoying calls.  They call me, and there is no one on the line, and I can not get through to them.  Help!  Thank you!

@ Carri - One of the most effective ways to retaliate against this kind of harrassing call is to contact the State AG's office in the state the calls are coming from and file a complaint. Most Attorney Generals offices allow you to do this online at no charge.

In this case, the calls are coming from New Jersey. NJ is very much a Big Brother Nanny-State government so it should be easy to file against the entity behind this number. Best wishes for your success!

@ Carri - In fact, it's from Pennsauken NJ, a suburb in South Jersey. I believe its in either Camden County or Gloucester County? Maybe Burlington County? The county gummint may also be willing to help you.

They often hire retired police detectives on a part-time basis to work these kinds of cases to fight against credit identity theft.

Dude called and started talking about a dental insurance plan.  I tried to interrupt him but he kept on yakking then hung up on me.  His name was Jack.  Right!

Harrassimg phone calls

This is the 3rd call I've gotten. They tell me I asked for dental quotes online. I tell them they are wrong and that I'm not interested then I hang up. I've also told them imy # is on the do not call registry. But it didn't seem to help. Today they called while I was Ironically on the phone with my dentist. Didn't pick up but tried to call backgot same number not available message. I'm ready to file a complaint in NJ. Thanks for the insight

They have called 4 times today (its 2:45p). I answered the 1st time and got an empty line. The last time I picked it up and shouted to quit calling me !

1-856-200-8095 from Vineland, NJ, has called me several times over the past 3 days.
Never leave  a message. Tried to call them and get a "not in service" message.
Will be following up with NJ Attorney General's office.

I have recieved calls from this number for that last three days. The first one was Saturday (3/8) well after 10pm. The other two were first thing in the morning. No one on the line when I answered and impossible to call back. I sure would like their home phone number.

ive done some checking this number is from vineland NJ. It has been calling my phone since Friday will not answer me when  I pick up the phone. I am on the do not call registry but it still calls. I just answer and hang up on them

I am on the do not call list.  I do not recognize who the heck Avatar Tech is.  After two rings and I do not pick up, the call is terminated. They will probably do it for a few more days and then stop.  This has happened repeatedly these past few months.   If you don't recognize the number, don't pick up!
