Got a text from this number saying  it was bank....was not!

Received a text from 612-508-11 and it said to call Wells Fargo @ 856-335-1057. I wasn't about to try it. I knew it had to be a scam or something because right after that text there was another one from 612-508@metrocast.net which said (bro please call me back). When I googled 612-508-11 it came up that those numbers are from Russia or China.

Received a text from 385-214-11 saying "(WellsFargo-ImportantNotification.PleaseCall: (856) 335-1057) ". The first thing that caught my eye is that my cell number also starts with 385-214. It seemed strange that Wells Fargo would text me from a Verizon cellphone. Then my wife pointed out that the last two numbers were missing. I didn't call the number because there were too many alarms.

I got the same text and decided not to respond. I tried calling WF to report it but there was a 10 minute wait

Did not call it..... I don't have an account at BofA and any bank is going tocall you anyway if there is fraudulent activity occuring. They aren't going to text you. Dam just more rip off artists. Leeches and thieves.

Just got the same text right after I left the local ATM. Called it from the text... Asked for the card number (which I gave) then the expiration date (then I hung up).

just got one of those texts saying bank of America important message, call 856-335-1057. The last digits of my number were missing, but I called the number and right away knew it was a scam, the automated machine doesn't sound like that. Weird thing is I do have a bank of America account, but I entered a incorrect acct # just to see what happened, and it said incorrect #, but I hung up. I hope no one falls for this. Googled, the number and now i'm seeing that they're also saying they are wells fargo. it's ridiculous how the scam artists come up with this stuff, but I hope no one falls prey to it.

Fake call from the bank

Just got the text from US Bank, where I have an account.  Said "Urgent! call (856) 335-1057."  I didn't call.

Just got the text.  Said :( U S Bank ) Urgent Notification : Contact 856-335-1057  Call Back 8563351057.

I'm going to go with this isn't US BANK.. LOL.. do they really think we are that stupid?  YESSSSS!!!!!!!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! *MY* text said US Bank. Urgent Notification Contact (the above number) when you call, they want the number off of your card.

NO!! Scam!!  I called my bank and talked to the Fraud Division, Charles told me they NEVER EVER ask for your info because they already have it!

Urgent Notification

Got a txt from 303-481-23. Urgent notification from U.S. Bank. Most banks will only notify you of urgent things via email AS PER YOUR REQUEST AND/OR THE DEFAULT. Look at your bank "settings" for "urgent notifications" and you will see it is through email and based on what you want to know about -- NOT BY TEXT. Total SCAM.

Called the number, didn't give a company name, said that my debit card had been suspended and press 1 to reactivate. I didn't press 1. Sounds like a phish, scam. Thanks for this site!!! How can i block this number???

Got a message BankofAmerica Urgent notification call 856 335 1057- Did not call. The call originate in Florida (305 397 1114) and 856 335 1057 is located in Berlin New Jersey.Did not call.

Just received a text from the same #  stating there was a problem with our US Bank account and to call them. Obvious scam attempt. Did not call, and have blocked the #

Got this text message "(US Bank Notification) Please Call : 856 335 1057 Your Attention Is Needed." from (310)422-44 with the last 2 digits missing....i smell FRAUD!! First off i dont even have an acct with them and second banks call you right away if they suspect their is fraud on your acct and third of all txts sent from your bank are only by request by you.. Please dont fall for these scams! P.s I didnt waste my time calling this number.

Received text msg from 856-335-1057, on Sun Aug 17 2014 @6 p.m., claiming to be USBank & asking for info from my debit card. Gave them some, but I stopped short when recording asked for PIN # over & over & disconnected when I didn't respond. Phoned the real USBank Fraud Liaison Team @877-595-6256. They have logged a number of calls about the 856 number and appreciate knowing when someone gets a call or text from it. My debit card has been cancelled and replaced at my request, within minutes of the bogus text and phone call, and no harm has resulted. It was worth it to stay on hold for a few minutes, great customer service rep. Thanks to the other posters who helped confirm that the 856 number was a scam.
