Called and hung up when answered.  I think I heard a business phone ringing in the background.

Called me back to back for a period of about 10 minutes.  
Hung up everytime.

They called today (Labor Day) to ask if I was voting for Chris Christie in Nov. I said no, she said thank you for your time, good bye. I could hear phones ringing in the background too. My caller ID listed it as from Pitman, NJ. I did not catch the "company" when she said it in the beginning.

I got a hang up call from this number, called it right back and the answering machine stated it was "The Gloucester County Victory Office", and if you wanted to volunteer to leave a message.

they asked for me by name, when I asked who was calling the girl got all tongue-tied and flustered "my name is uh-uh..." then hung up. I called back and got the recorded message that this is the G.C.victory office and if I wanted to volunteer, etc...
  seriously, if these are volunteers trolling for votes, they need to TRAIN these people first, I kind of felt bad for the girl. Other than that, the calls are just a pain in the ass.   (not the first time they called, they called last week at 9am for my husband, wanting to know if he planned on voting for Chris Christie.)

I concur. Called today SUNDAY during Eagles game..WTH?? When I told her that, she hung up on me...no "I'm sorry...excuse me" NOTHING. RUDE!! I'm not voting for ANYONE who calls on a Sunday....just sayin....

There's nothing special about Sunday.  Its not the sabbath for everybody.  Calls on Sunday are no more illegal than calls Monday-Saturday.  The pests call when they think you will be home.  Often that means on Sunday during the afternoon football flood.  

Political calls are exempt from the Do Not Call list law.  But I agree - anyone who calls me asking for my vote, I'm tempted to vote for their opponent.

As much as I agree on most things,  I have to say that my vote is too important to me to base it upon a political phone call,  regardless of party.

For me it wouldn't be the only issue, but if I'm undecided it could make a difference in how I vote.

More important it makes a good thread.  Tell the caller "I hate political phone calls.  I'm counting the calls I get and will vote for the party that calls the least."  That might reduce the number of calls you get.

The caller ID said Pitman.  The girl asked for my husband and when I said he was in the shower, she hung up.
