i have received calls from this number for quite some time now.  Our Company just recently within the past year changed locations and we have new phone numbers.  281-280-2253 obviously belonged to someone named Melanie Gibson or a company she worked for.  i have asked repeatedly for this company to please stop calling because they were not reaching whom they were looking for.  i finally looked them up and called them back myself and asked to be removed AGAIN.  Each time i asked the caller was rude to me because i asked them not to call back.  That is not the way to handle a collection call.  They want cooperation from the people they are trying to collect from but they won't return the cooperation to the people they have no business calling.

I've gotten calls from this number 3 or 4 times now for someone who apparently had my cell number before I did. I have never been to college and I am only 17, hence no college. When I explained that to the RUDE caller he laughed, LAUGHED and said sure. I told him if they called back I would have my parents change my number. He then told me even if I changed my number they would still hunt me down (well, whom ever they were looking for). I guess I should just change it now and be done with it.

calls and calls and calls

Unfortunately I have had the same experience as most of the other people who posted. The gentlemen who called this morning was very rude when I explained, yet again, that I do not know anyone named Alan. He claimed my number would be taken out of the file, but they called again later today. Very frustrating.

No one on the line just background noise and static. Very annoying.

I've been getting calls from this number about once every two days for the past 2 weeks, but instead of a live person like everyone else is getting, I get a computer voice telling me to "push 1 if you're Jessie and 2 if you're not".  I push 2, and then I hear "push 1 if you need to pause this message while you find Jessie, push 2 if Jessie is unavailable at this time, push 3 if this is a wrong number."  I push 3, and the line goes dead.  And then, two days later, I have to go through the whole process all over again.

Get calls constantly from this number.  When I call back at the number they leave all I get is dead silence and background noise and the number never rings.  How can Ifind out anything if it never rings and gives me a chance to speak to someone.  They call at least once a week or more often.

They've called my house a couple of times, when my s/o hit re-dial to call them back, he got Andrews Air Force base, weird eh?

They, along with a lot of other agencies, have been trying to call apparently several people who used ot have my home phone number, I just tell them all good luck.

left no message....I called, they are looking for  a Donald Parr....so Donald...please call them!

They keep calling my business looking for a "relative" of mine who is not a relative, nor have I heard of this person.

After repeated calls without identifying themselves at all after being told they have the wrong number, left a name and number/extension (800-220-0605). Lot of good it'll do when they're calling the wrong number to begin with.

Just called again, this time for someone else with the same first name but different surname as the target of earlier calls.   "No one here by that name, no."   Of course without identifying themselves, though recognized by earlier calls.

Left message stating that if "you do not call back immeditly, you will face harsh actions"  sent copy of message to state attorney general.

856-668-4520 They have been calling my house for the past 4 months now. I never answer, but thought I'd look it up to see who it is and found this site. we just changed our phone number back in January, so they are probably looking for someone who had the number before. Thanks for all the info.

Academy Collections Services are bottom feeding scumbags. To make the calls stop you must call and file a complaint with their Director of Customer Relations: Jeff Moore 1-800-220-0605 extension 2554. Give him my name and the calls will stop.

Academy Collections SVC. are at the bottom of my list. Their representatives get a 10% fee to get a sucker to pay them or agree to pay them. Don't be stupid! Just let the call go to Audix! After 7 years they will stop anyway.
