Quit calling mt Daughters phone!!!

I got a call from this number 8566684530 and it says if you continue to stay on line you acknowledge whatevr. I dont know who they are trying to reach but it has left atleast 5 voicemail saying its a collection call. Is it telemarketer?

This number belongs to a collection agancy called Academy Services and they have several different numbers which they use to call. The proper way of handeling these calls is to speak to them and ask for their office address.They often try to be evassive but tell them you want to send them a legal corespondent and once you get their address send them a certified letter requesting a stop calls and collection attampt.
Once you have a proof that you have send them a certified letter requesting a cease to communicate they can not contact you again. Should they call you, they would be breaking the law and you can file suit and a complaint against them for herrassing you.

This collection company calls our number to an annoying degree! We owe them nothing, it feels like harassment!

They call often. They never leave a message. Our number is on the "DO NOT CALL LIST"

Five months ago these people bombarded my cell phone with a pre-recorded message for someone who apparently had owned my number.  I got them to stop by writing to them and copying my letter to the PA state attorney general and the FTC.  Now they are back.  This time a real person dialed my cell phone and left me a voicemail message.  She addressed me by my name and said that she wanted to get a hold of the debtor.  These people are inept, and they are using very old information.  If they can't find their debtor, I can't help them.  I acquired my cell phone number back in January 2004!  It was the luck of the draw that I got this number.  I don't know the debtor.

this number has called me and I am not the person they are looking for..I get alot of calls for this person and I think they lived here before we moved in..they do not get that I am not this person..... its harrasment.. and do not appriciate it..I guess they think I'm lying.. I am a stay at home mom with a medical condition that is aggravated by this stress and I do not need this!!!!

This number just called my cell phone. It left a message. I'm a teenager, and I have no bills to pay, and I can't even hear the name of the person they want. It's so obnoxious.

I got a phone call to call a Mr. Stone, no other information. So I'm leaving it a lone. I don't know who this is.

These people have called my cell phone everyday since Sunday, each day with a different number.  I have filed a complaint with the Do Not Call list for the first two numbers.  I do not know the person they are looking for, nor do I owe anyone anything.  I've had this number for 10 years and have NEVER used it for anything other than friends and family.  Even from my voicemail message they can know I am not the person they are looking for.  Probably people out there are dreaming up wrong numbers to give for business so they can't find them.  Too many kooks and evil people out there messing with innocent people.  I read in a post yesterday they do not stop them when you inform them to stop.

I just started getting phone calls for someone else too.  They call at least once a day, for the past week.  Usually it's several times a day, but they don't always speak when I say hello.  Thank goodness for caller ID!  I guess they don't believe that I have no idea who the debtor is.

I have sent a cease and decent letter to Academy Collection Services telling they have to stop calling me and prove that I owe what they claim and that they call only contact me by mail but keep calling me what options do I have.

I believe the words you're looking for are "cease and desist" ... not "decent"

Why do they call and ask for people that i've never even heard of?
I keep telling them that they never had the phone and they still call and ask for the same person "Jeffrey or Candy".
and when i asked who is was they just gave a first name and wouldn't tell me what they were calling for.

received a call every day at 8am from these people - every day i answer and hang up.  today - a sat morning - at8am i answered the phone - told her she had the wrong number and to PLEASE stop calling me at 8am EVERY DAY - she said "[***] its not 8" yea it is - i'm on the west coastand hung up!!  UGHH and i'm also on the do notcall list - i'm going to take the person's above info stating that i'm sending a letter and want their address etc

I keep getting harassing phone calls and voice mails for a person by the name of Clarence Lyons. These calls started about a year ago from various phone numbers. Sometimes they were real people, who sounded like they were probably friends of Clarence, sometimes they were creditors and collection agencies. They continued for about two months, and stopped. Then, three months ago, they started again. They are now all prerecorded messages, and I usually get them on weekdays during the time at which I cannot answer due to classes. I get about two messages a day, sometimes more. About a week ago, I recieved a message for another person, who I assume is somehow related to Clarence. The calls looking for this person are even more common than than the calls for Clarence. If they would call at a rime I can speak to them, I would answer, and ask them to stop these irratating phone calls. I have never been in debt. The only time I've ever taken out a loan I couldn't pay off is the game, Monopoly. It's extremely annoying.

I got a call from this number 8566684530 at 7:00am requesting to speak with someone that I do not know, but that person has my same last name. I told them that it is a wrong number, and please stop calling me, but I continue receiving calls from them.
