Caller ID said "CAMBRIDGE, MA" but did not leave a message.  Awaiting a call from a Boston Doc who calls from all different HIPPA-mandated 'anonymous' or cloaked numbers, but he usually is good about leaving messages.  Not sure if this is legit or spam, but I'm leaning towards thinking its spam.

Have called 3x in the last 10 minutes.  No message left.

Called twice more in 39 minutes.  Answered the second and third time but there was nothing but 'dead air.'  So likely SPAM.  Guessing its another 'Buy Solar Panels over the phone' scam call.

We ALSO got three calls within 39 minutes; Dead air each time machine picked up.  Did some 'sleuthing' and found out it was Medical Dept Collection.  Called the BOSTON hosptial we use and were told we had NO outstanding bills (and NEVER any late bills, either) and this was a 'mistake.'  BUT this is NOT acceptable.  Sounds to me more like a SCAM. They are turning people's info over to god-knows-who, who can't even keep their sh*t straight?  NOT cool.  I'm gonna complain BIG TIME to the Big Guns about this.  Harvard PARTNERS, get your act together.

IMPORTANT:
Several years ago we were getting an EXTRA $20 "service charge" bill from a local hospital EACH and EVERY time we used their services.  This is where our doctor's offices were, plus the ONLY place to do testing, blood draws, etc. This billing when on for at least a decade.  I called and disputed this charge every time, and always had the charge removed: each time I was told it was a 'computer error.'  BUT it turns out this was a SCAM being run by the so-called 'legitimate' billing company with whom the hospital had contracted.  They were just sending out these **extra** bills - for NO LEGITIMATE REASON - to see how many got paid without question: this was just 'gravy' to them - had NOTHING to do with any doctors', hospital, or testing service.  It was just a self-granted 'perk' the billing company was dunning for itself.  When it finally came to light (after years and years of this) they got FIRED, but in the meantime how many thousands (millions?) of dollars went in the CEO's pocket, unquestioned???  AND, NO ONE went to JAIL, as they SHOULD HAVE.

At least today, this was short term use of a line to inform Boston citizens of an upcoming (free) neighborhood turkey-fry put on by councillor Tito Jackson.

They blasted my town's landlines so far last night and this morning with a survey about a contentious pending business here. The calls come in rapid succession and don't end until you either reply to the survey or block them (hopefully).
