Random call out of no where. Never seen this number before. No voice message.

Ansered and it was a woman named Ashley from Direct Buy, although it sounded like she was calling from an overseas call center.

Call from Direct Buy. Told me I was a "semi-finalist" for a new car or $50k home makeover. Caller had a strong accent, so maybe was calling from outside U.S.  I hung up.

Got call on cellphone 5 days after activation.

Got call early in the morning, didn't pick up. No voice message.

Foreign Woman from direct buy said I won a home makeover. Sounded like a scam, so I told her to give it to someone else.

They've called more than once don't know how they got my number....

left no message...no one answered

Have had 2 calls today from 857-444-5566 I answered both times and no one says anything.  Who does this number belong to and how do I stop it from calling my number?

Just do Like I do... Ask them why nobody answered and take no apology or excuse.  Just tell them to be quiet and to hush unless they can explicitly explain why nobody answered.  Just basically give them a hard time and take control of the situation.  I do that to all sales calls, especially when they call multiple times.

They called our house three times yesterday--and yes, it was Direct Buy.  We're on the Do not call list, for the good it does.  They've called twice today.  Mostly, I just don't  answer.

Purchase a call blocker unit.

All you need to do is cal the number back and press 1. It'll ask you to enter your number, do it, and they will remove you from their call list..Direct Buy is starting to piss me off.

Called today.  Foreign women from Direct Buy.  Said I was a Semi-finalist winner.  I interrupted...told her I was on the do not call list and was hanging up so I could file a report.  Told her do not ever call my number again.  I filed report online.  Curious if they'll call again!

These are trolls who mine numbers off craiglist they call off voip magic jack.They mostly are asian females.if you have free minutes and a little time to have some fun.Play along and give them totally bogus info and keep saying stuff like "what i win?" and other things to confuse them.

For the last several days we've received several calls where the caller stayed on the line but no one spoke.  We are also on the do not call list so don't normally get marketing calls.  Starting on Jan. 21 we got a call from an unknown source.  The next evening that number called again and a woman identified herself as representing Direct Buy to which we told her very sternly that we were not interested given what we know about the business practices of the company.  The next day that same number called again (it is 857-444-5566) and a different woman (with a foreign accent) identified herself as representing Direct Buy and we asked she take us off her calling list.  Then tonight, Jan. 24th, the 256-754-2791 number showed up on our caller ID as being from Hartselle, AL and no one was on the line when we answered.  I'm posting here since it seemed a coincidence that the 256-754-2791 no. was reported by another person on whocallsmeDOTcom as having a caller identifying the 2791 number as representing Direct Buy.   Perhaps the two are related but there is little doubt that they are anything other than scammers.  It would be nice if they'd leave us alone after their first unsuccessful call, though.

We have received several calls from this number.  Sunday afternoon, I spoke to someone and told them I was not interested and hung up.  They called back again the Sunday evening and I gave my husband the phone.  The guy was talking to him and my husband said we were not interested and for us to be taken off his call list.  He then began to argue why and how come and after a minute of this, my husband hung up.  We are on the do not call list.  Guess what, they called again this evening and it is only Monday!!!  I am so tired of these phone calls.

Answered the phone, no response.

This number calls every night and I want it to stop

I own a business and this number called me claiming to be from "US Directory of Yellowpages"

I actually have an account, with an account manager with Yellowpages, so I asked if it was the Yellowpages. She said "how many times do I have to tell you this is the US Directory of Yellowpages" I told her 3 more times, without the attitude. It was clear she was phishing for information. Very creepy and misleading.
