I received a call from them about the process of my refinance. They are not a scam. I asked the representative that I called her back at that 858 # and it does state that its disconnected. She said that is their outbound call phone# for the whole floor.

This number is not a scam. She even left me a message. Its a credit/mortgage company that is apparently affiliated with NVR Mortgage (we're working with NVR for a home loan).

Well, Mr. or MS Shutup; discussed this with our Core Logic company rep.

This is a scam as well as the one where the woman claims to need to order a copy of an original title policy.
As soon as I give this telephone number to our rep. the calls will stop.

don't know if it is a scam or not, but certainly they have some info about me, they wanted to verify a credit line that I had closed and said it was for a mortgage application that I had made (and I actually had applied for a mortgage). But he was really sounding scammish, was speaking a vietnamise type of accent and tried to connect me to another number. It looked fishy to me so I hung up.

Not a scam. They are contracted by lenders to verify employment and credit. Your broker should (but often doesn't) give you heads up that they might call you if they need to. In my case, most of the verification was done behind the scenes, but my student loan lender would not talk to them without my permission. It was for a mortgage.

Yes, not a scam.  We went for a refinance through Quicken Loans and they called us for verification on some things.  Just ask them to verify who they are inquiring on behalf of and make them give you info to verify it's legit.  

This is not a scam.  I am in the process of buying a home and they called me to verify an entry on my credit report for a student loan.  They had all my information and the name of my broker.  It was a pretty easy call and you can visit their website as well.

CoreLogic Credco is a 3rd party credit verifier used by banks & lending institutions.  They update entries, remove duplicate accounts, etc.  They are only calling you because your lender has requested updates to your credit file & they are most likely needing more info from you.  Call them back so you can get your loan.

Verified as CoreLogic Credit, a 3rd party verification service for many mortgage lenders.  I received the call to verify information about a couple loans and since they asked for my social, etc, I hung up.   I called Discover Home Loans and my mortgage account manager told me that this was the company they used and that I needed to verify my info with them in order to move it through underwriting.  They called back and I complied so that I could move my mortgage along.  Positive experience and very polite.

Agree.  They do a service for the banks that do mortgage lending.  They just called us.

I answered the phone where someone said i won a trip to hawaii. I dont believe this number is connected to a reputable business.
