call around 9:30 am .. id says EDF Org same as above note .. did not answer do not know where they got my number .. not a happy camper :(  I do not donate to non profit organized criminals .. if I donate anything ever it will be to my local community .. Charity begins at HOME :)

Asked for me by name, no accent.  When I said 'this is she' the line went dead.  Kinda creepy.

No message other than hello & who calling for - pleasant voice.  So I did *69 number recall and yes EDF with option for delete from call list or for anything else including info,  how to get involved or to donate refers you to their website.  How low key.  This was actually an organization I had wanted to doonate to as I have one of their beautiful calendars etc.

My experience is similar to Jamie's. Creepy indeed. Caller ID showed "San Diego CA".

why do I and my daughter get these calls? they call every no matter what

called me exactly at 9:30 am on 3/24, caller ID also showed San Diego, CA...that is creepy! I live in PA..

I'm so tired of calls from stuff lately. This AM: 3/24/14 @ 10:02 on the Landline, here's yet another 1. Even if it IS legit, I would be the 1 to call if I was interested.

OK: I got YET ANOTHER call! On 3/25/14 at 8:34 PM CT. SERIOUSLY???? TODAY I got the following: 2 from Cincinnati/2 from Milwaukee/2 from Naperville/1 from Kent WA* & 2 from Market Probe. ELLL is going KRAZY with these FOOL$!  I thought there was a law against these late calls!

Got a call this morning at 9AM and was asked for by name. Guy would not provide his name and babbled about health insurance. Another scammer. After reading the other responses I believe they changed their name but it is still the same old thieves.

"sissylou" - EDF is not a non-profit organized criminal organization.  What a shame that the work they do to protect the environment benefits ignorant people such as you, as well as people concerned about the environment.

Got a call this morning while grocery shopping. The same happened with me -- I said, "this is she," which was answered with dead air. I muttered, "I have no time for this," hung up and continued shopping.

If you sign ANY kind of petition on line they get your phone number and address.
I got a call from not just these people but others asking me to join pickets in my area. I asked..where in the petition did I give my permission for them to look me up and call me at home? No response. I told them not to call me again. So..next time..pick up the phone, DO NOT give them a chance to say a word, don't even say hello. When I pick up the phone I immediately say..I know who you are. I know what you want. I'm not interested. Don't call me again. And immediately hang up. DO NOT give them a foot in the door. DO NOT give them the first word. Just because I signed the petition does not give you the right to call me;especially when I did not give you my number or permission.

I just received a call from this phone number.  I probably gave money to them at one point and now they're hounding me at home. I answered the phone and before they had a chance to say anything, I said quit calling us and promptly hung up.  They've called several times in the last couple weeks.  However, when I looked up Environmental Defense Fund, this phone number doesn't match any of their office numbers.
