The caller, California ( displayed on our phone ), My wife answered it since she had few friends  inn San Diego. The man was talking about selling solar emerge. My wife asked him not to call again. I returned the call few minutes late. This unwanted number is not in service. I dialed  *77-1-858-611-7879 to block this numbers according Verizon Company. Few people reported this unwanted number to www.900notes.com. as above.
We received many phone call selling solar energy.

Just got a call from this number. I NEVER answer calls I don't recognize or a name of an established friend/associate/colleague is dis played. Called and asked for me by name and I stated they had the wrong number. They simply hung up and so did I. BEWARE THIS IS NOT GOOD!! DON'T ANSWER OR DIVULGE WHO YOU ARE!!!!

A call was received today from this number.  When the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message.  This type of phone number is characteristic of a "burn" phone, the type favored by drug dealers and scam artists.  Consequently, it would not surprise me if the caller is one or the caller.

This robocaller phoned again.  True to form, when the call rolled to voice mail, the caller left no message.  This is typical out automated dialers, the computerized weapon of choice for telemarketing scam artists and/or drug dealers.  It is the type of call that never should be answered.

One again, this robocaller phoned but left no message.  Thanks to Jim (see above), I know that attempting to return the call would be to no avail.  Not sure if this caller is part of "a common harassment team," but I suspect it is part of a scam telemarketer team.  These are the folks who are determined to perform a walletechtomy -- surgical removal of the wallet!  Never answer calls from this number or the other two numbers Jim has identified.  If you have call blocking, use it!

Supposed company name: Sunlight Solar
Caller ID: California

I told Debra Cook that she was breaking federal law and instructed her to add me
to their company's own "Do Not Call List".  She said that she would.

Called today on my home phone and asked for me by name. I made the mistake of identifying myself and then they hung up. Not sure what this is all about but it's creepy. Caller was a female who sounded to be in her 20's

This scammer phoned again today, but left no message when the call rolled to voice mail.  Bye, bye, scammer!

The caller, CALIFORNIA ( displayed as ID on our phone. ) called us  @ 14:50, 09.17.2015. I missed the call & returned the call hiding my number 1/2 hour later, a lady message : " Sorry, you reached the number is not in service. please check the number & try again." . According www.800notes.com.above the caller has used 858-611-7879 funny number to call many people since07.24.2014. One person reported missing the call . on December 02, 20142 fom 858-611-7879 caller ID: V202080100003. Some one reported the the caller used 818-751-5039, 805-311-4578 too. I received many calls with ID V123456789012345 ( 15 digits ).

Called  me around  12:15p.m..  Since  caller ID  anonymous  let  it  go  to message  machine.  Hang up  with  no  message.  As with  another  post that  said  they  don't  answer if  unrecognized  phone  number  so is my  rule of thumb.  Did have  one a couple  of weeks  ago that  read "VONS " on my ID that I  answered.  Solar  company.  Watch  carefully,  they're  getting  trickier.

this is a solar company that calls me all the time.  i told them to put me on their do not call list several times but they never do so I blocked them.

This number showed up on both my landline and my cell phone, No message left on either site.  I don't answer calls I don't recognize.
