One of two phone calls on afternoon of 3rd June 2015--one of which was a "IRS scam" issue.

Second call in two days. No message left.

Answering machine says they are MDS Communications which is a professional solicitor of donations for a wide variety of clients.  Their website is www.mdscom.com.  Eventhough they have a professional looking website, you would think they would allow their name to come up on caller ID.  Well, they don't!  It came up on my phone as Florence KY and they did not leave a message.  I smell a SCAM that is trying to look legit.

Just got 2nd call today & 6th since 3-2. When I answered she claimed to be from Care to thank me for contributions & give an update. Told her I didn't know who she was & did not want to talk to her. If this # calls again it will be reported. Care always sends written thanks!

Unknown caller got only one ring so it was blocked by the national call blocking service.

Called again while wife was watching Wheel of Fortune, this is a BAD!  Number appeared on the TV screen.  It immediately forwarded to a known dead number, as I had it set up to do that after the first call today.

Called again, got one ring before it was transferred to the dead number.  I guess the robo dialer is not affected by the out-of-service tones.

Again!  They certainly don't give up.

This number along with the other numbers listed below belongs to a company called MDS Communications and these are just the ones I have complied up to this point.  They “say” they raise money for other companies but they have a sorted and shady history and keep the lion’s share of the money that is raised.  They will also use the same number but spoof the caller ID to show a variety cities or businesses.  That alone is not honest and makes them a scammer.  As soon as I block one number, they pop-up with a new one, it’s a constant game of Whack-A-Mole.

In 2013, . . . . MDS Communications Corp. . . . raised $12.4 million and kept $7.5 million. The company is based in Arizona and is considered one of the five largest fundraising companies in the U.S. . . . BEWARE!
