Called an left no message, caller ID says if came from Butler, KY..

Received a call. No message

Annoying call offering $100 walmart gift card.

All of the hillbillies in my family live in West Virginia. No need to answer unknown calls from Kentucky.

"Fantastic gifts and offers message" - if you press one you get a woman that barely speaks English, but she wants your first and last name so she can send you $100 in certificates.

I asked several times where she was calling from but her accept was so poor she was incomprehensible. Then dead air until I hung up...

I called the number back.  Recording claiming to give you a Walmart reward if you listen to their savings options.  Blocked it.

Why do they annoy people? The no call lists are a joke. We have been bombarded with so many spam calls & we are on Do Not Call lists. Whats is going on?

Just got the call. They left a voice mail with "gifts and offers". SCAM. Block the caller.

I really like the comments above.  I'll go with the Hillbill too!!  I'm glad I didn't answer my cell phone.  They did not leave a message.

Answer:
What's going on is that the No Call list is only respected by legitimate, law abiding businesses. I don't know why people are so surprised that scammers don't respect that list.

Seriously, do you honestly expect scammers to respect that list?

Answered it.  Recorded message starts "Hello! Thank you for calling.  Please listen carefully as our menu options have changed".  I hung up.

Just called and since I have been bombarded with these types of calls I merely answered and hung up then blocked via Mr. Number.  Great app that is......Mr. Number is always on the job blocking spam and collectors :)

Pressed 1 to speak with a representative as instructed. Rep told me I made a purchase from one of over 700 national retailers that gave this company access to my telephone number. I asked them to identify what retailer specifically. Rep couldn't so I asked for a supervisor and Charlie got on the line. He was rude and condescending. He explained that identifying the retailer probably could be done but it was not cost effective, efficient, or required of him so it was not going to happen. When I asked to speak to a next level supervisor, he said, "What aren't you getting?" As is typically with these scammers, there's never any satisfaction. I guess we have no recourse.
