- GregHad my name and said it was a business call. Wouldn't say about what unless I confirmed my identity. I refused, end of call.
- FranniBScam call. The female on the line tried to say she was calling from Citibank, and that I had a 10 dollar overdraft on a linked credit card. Being that I have no accounts with that bank either through regular banking or credit cards what a joke. I threatened to call the FCC and FBI and ended the call. Also butchered my name, always a dead giveaway.
- LeahA man called me inquiring about my boyfriend's Macy's account. He stated my number was the only one in the account. First my name is not on the account!. He asked me to verify the last four of his social. Then he asked me to verify the date of birth. I gave him no information as I pulled the phone number up on google. I let it rip! They should be ashamed. Trying to steal from me!! [***]
- Caller: Citibank Macy's

- SarahFemale caller called and asked to speak with an Erika? but also had my name as well. Very poor English with random noise in the background. Extremely unprofessional. She would not state the purpose of the call, and I ended the call.
- Wendy| 1 replyCalled my husband for my account, wouldn't tell him which one. It was an Indian man dialing from Kentucky for Macy's. He isn't on my account not even his phone number. New law has passed, they aren't allowed to speak to your spouse without permission. This was an illegal call or if wasn't a phishing scam.

- BigA replies to Wendy"New law has passed, they aren't allowed to speak to your spouse without permission." Please tell us which law you are referring to. Is this a state law? If so, which state? It certainly isn't a federal law since the FDCPA hasn't been updated in years.
- SusanMy parents have been getting calls supposedly from Citibank telling them their Macy's account hadn't had a payment since January. They've also called my nephew regarding my parent's account. Fortunately my parents told me about it since I'm paying their bills and they didn't give any information about their account.

- caligulaEnglish and Spanish ( good to know)
I received a call from that number, a guy with an accent from India or Pakistan or Al quaida or God knows where. I was asked for a person's name which did not belong to my number. Very polite, a bit of British accent, and end of the call.
Minutes after!!!!
I recieved another called, in my other cell phone that almost never I give away to nobody. I recognized the number and told the guy, same one, that was the wrong number. I was surprised since I a m expecting a call/s from auction houses and I was insisting which company was he representing, at the end I was told it was citibank,....
Question????
How in the world this guy/s have my both number which one is only for personal business??
Spanish,
- Spikereceived call looked up number and read your posts. thank you didn't answer call no voice message was left call from Florence, KY. I don't know anyone from there.

- Gerald T.Guy with a very thick Indian(?) accent called, said I owe money to Bloomingdale's. I never had a Bloomingdale's card in my life, I have no identity theft (I checked), then asked for my SS# and card #. Obvious scam. I heard there is a scam going around with Bloomingdale's and Macy's, people who possess cards had info breached and scammers are trying to get people to pay phony bills. NOT FALLING for it! Number BLOCKED and I reported to FTC!

- LisaI keep getting calls that say, “Citi Group” in the caller ID. I answered twice but there’s no one there. I called the number back, waited to speak to a person and she said she needed my account number. I don’t have an account number with city group. She said she would need either my account number or my Social Security number to see why they called. I laughed of course and told her that I don’t have an account number and I would never give her my Social Security number. I blocked the number but have since gotten three more calls with the same name but different phone numbers.
