Calling about my posted resume... At first, I was thrilled at the prospect, but upon looking up the phone number, it appears to be a scam.

I received a message from a "Tiffany" saying that she was from American Income (about 5 times listening to the message were needed to hear the actual name of the company), she said that she had my resume and that she wanted to talk to me. I called back, but got her voice mail. I thought I would google the phone number and found a lot of scam reports. I have not heard back from Tiffany yet.

Received a call from this number on my answering machine. The speaker spoke so fast and jumbled that the phone number was the only part of the message I could make out other than "your resume" and "full time job".  After reading above posts I will not waste my time returning call.

Same thing happened to me. Tiffany called and I had to listen to the message 5 times and I still could not make out the name of the company. Said she got my resume online.

I received a phone call today from Tamika from "American Income" regarding my "resume" and offering a "full time job". She also spoke almost too fast to comprehend and I'm glad I researched the phone number and found out it was a scam! Thanks for the help everyone!

    don't have time for nonsense
I got a call yesterday from these people saying they have my resume & if I was still looking for a full time job. My gut was telling me to look up the number & I did. Come to find out it's a scam when I call the number back.

I got the call from Tamika as well.  First call back on my job search and VERY frustrated that it's a SCAM.  Searching for a job is demeaning to begin with.  Just glad I had the sense to do a reverse search after being on hold for 6 minutes.

It's a shame on how many ignorant people there are out there. Trash talking a company because they have nothing better to do then accusing company's of scamming. I used to work for the company and loved it. Had to move to another state though. You were all called because you had your resumes posted online as I did. This is a company that does a lot of hiring so they call resumes posted on major jobsites. Isn't that why you put your resumes to begin with on Monster, so company's could call you? If you don't like their approach then no reason to trash talk them. It's sad when other people buy into the first person who stated it was a scam. Oh well I guess it is the world we live in now. Anyone else out there I suggest you call better business bureau and ask them what they think about the American Income rather than assuming the people responding to this thread are qualified to listen to, including me.

I received email from them about my resume also.  Nothing in my resume as a blue collar 60 year old tradesman qualifies me to sell insurance.  If smells like, looks like, then it is a scam to get people to sell insurance or something of tha nature.

It is not a SCAM, the office is located at 100 Roscommon drive, suite 200 in Middletown CT. It is one of the top life insurance company. They work with local union, the website is www.ailife.com  and Tiffany do work for them. If you posted your resume on google, yahoo and other, they have the right to call you. You can also check about the company on yahoo hotjobs

What did you expect when you put your resume online. The company name is American Income Life and you  can check about them on www.ailife.com . They are a life insurance company and they are doing really good. They don't need to scam any of you. The company been doing great since 1932 and have an asset over a billion dollar so you are the last person on earth to scam. First to scam you they need to ask you for money or some, they did not. If you don't want to be call , just take your resume from monster and the others. If you take your time and go to 100 Roscommon Dr, suite 100, Middletown , CT 06457. You will see a beautiful lady at the front desk by the name of Tiffany welcoming you. Yes she do work there. And if you finally arrive to meet the state director , you will notice also a lady by the name of Tamika there also. If you dial the number, the extension is 101 for Tiffany and 102 for Sally, so leave them a message and you will see that they will return it. Some of your need to grow up and don't think that you are that important to be scam. You was call cos you put your resume online period, no comment. You don't want to be call, get your resume off.

Got a call from this number this morning only the number that came up on the caller id was 203-916-1346 and the number left to call back was this 860-632-0061.  I googled the 203 number and it comes up as a residential address for OK R Heo in Bridgeport Ct... kinda wierd?? Needless to say I could not understand anything in the voice mail other then the call back number and I am certianly not calling them back... not that desperate for a job....Also I'm currently living in PA which is CLEARLY stated on my resume, why would a CT company be calling me for a job??

I love the canned responses to posts on here that talk about experiences with this "recruiter".  They don't even make any credible impression or sense.  I also enjoyed the dozens upon dozens of posts on a variety of sites from former employees who wrote about the shady and questionable recruiting and sales practices, including the money they make you pay out of pocket.

I got the same call as everyone else on my machine. When I called back and told my name, the woman on the other end, pleasant voice, repeated my name a few times, apparently looking for my file. She then said the woman who called me was busy on another line, and hung up! WTF? This was a toll call, I'm a little angry....

It's a real business if anyone just would take the time and effort to just look it up on the Better Business Bureau.  The company even has a A rating so if you didn't get a interview and check it out in person or look up the company for yourself then you are a lemming and deserve to be unemployed. In order for it to be considered a scam they have to receive money, services, or personal information under a falsified pretense. How many scammers call you into their office which has been located in the same place for years to scam you. The worst you end up with is a bad job. Here is the CT BBB link http://www.bbb.org/denver/business-reviews/in ... denver-co-26952 and it also includes their website. You basically got called for outdoor sales and work on commission that is all. Good luck to all job seekers.

I have been contacted by this company in the past and they are recruiting people to go door to door selling insurance, I went for an interview and was hearded into a cattle call of an interview with 25 other people and they wasted 3 hours of my life with a presentation that basically amounted to a pyramid scheme...so it's not exactly a scam but it isn't worth your time
