- ErI received a call from this number 860-777-0000. I did answer, the person was hard to understand, he said he was calling from Microsoft and my computer has a problem. It is infected and not do use any email or on-line backing. He want to walk my through my computer to do some changes. I wouldn't do that. He got upset.
- Caller: Farmington, Ct
- BJReceived a call. Didn't answer. Er this sounds like a scam. Refer item #3 at http://phonehelp.grn.cc/facts.html.
- dwNo response when I answered-must be a machine dial.
I am on no-call list, but still get calls - jdmCalled this morning. It was about my home computer. I said I only use a computer at work. Hung up. Sounds like the blackshades scam continues dispute the global arrests just recently.

- Don't like scammersRepeatedly calls and leaves no message
- daveydave| 1 replyreceived this call today, on a land line, under my dads name who is a senior citizen.
after saying "hello" (3) times, the caller with a thick Indian accent told me he was with the geek squad and that
my computer was generating many error messages, and to get on my computer NOW! he will fix it...
after playing with him for a few seconds, i told him to "#@$$%^& my %$&* and also to$#$%^ his mother"
beware this is a scam to infect your computer and then pay them to fix it....- Caller: geek squad (it wasnt)
- Miguel HI received a call from this number 860-777-0000 the person was hard to understand, she said she was calling from Microsoft and my computer was infected and she wanted to walk my through my computer to do some changes. She said ok a lot.
- Ellen CantarowI have had repeated calls from this phone number. There is no voice on the other end, only silence, as if the robocaller wanted to see if mine was a working phone number. This is highly irritating and disconcerting. Americans have no privacy anymore. European countries protect their citizens from such intrusions. Please help me!
- Adolfo Ngot the call this morning, same pitch about having problems with my computer (IP address) and offering to resolve them but getting first into their website.
Beware, it sounds clearly as a scam or worse, you get into their page and you'll get your system infected or your info stolen. - JCSame scam - they've detected a problem on my Windows computer. He had me go to GeekSupportLive.com to download their remote connection software. (DO NOT DO IT!)
After keeping him on the phone for a long time, he asked me to read him my new ID code so he could connect. Told him I couldn't read it and needed to get my glasses. When I came back, I told him I should have gotten my glasses sooner... I would have seen that the computer was a Mac and not a Windows PC! :)- Caller: Farmington, CT - Geek Support Live
- TLI got a call from this number just now....same as everyone else, a guy with an indian accent said he was with geek squad and my computer was reporting error messages. I said I did not believe him and I was reporting his number to the telemarketer association...I don't know if such a thing exists lol but I think I struck some fear into him mwah hahaaa
- Call type: Telemarketer
- ThisnThatNHReceived another call from these [***]. Always from India - always claiming they are from the Geek Squad (no longer from Microsoft -- now from the Geek Squad) -- and always my computer is infected. So, I swear at them and then ask if they would like to continue to talk to me and make no money, or get off my phone so they could scam someone else. That question always confuses them because they are mad as hell for me swearing at them and then baiting them. I've send hundreds of complaints to the FTC Do Not Call List. Lot of good it's done, obviously.
- Caller: Geek Squad Scam
- Lisa replies to daveydaveGot it too...when they say they're from Microsoft, I tell them I don't have any computers running Microsoft products. And I'm not lying, we're an Apple family lol...but they get all freaked out when you tell them this. Likely because they know I'm into them!
- Tired of these callsCalled a few minutes ago, same spiel I've heard hundreds of times from various Indians - I let him say his piece and said no thank you. I have a service already through Norton 360 which fixes for FREE if there is a mess up and certainly not letting a call which comes in sitting on the line until they get to me in their queue sell me or give me anything like a messed up computer. These guys are scam artists deluxe. We will see if they call again - then I will just block their calls as I do other scam artists.

- pisssed off dudeSame scam as everyone else. Please report this to the FBI computer crimes division. The Do NOT Call registry will not work in this case.
