Just recieved a call from this number. He asked for permission to get into my computer. Said he was from Geek Squad. I informed him that I knew that this was a scam, and he asked how I knew, I said because I had seen it online. He then just continued to say "Dont say this to me mam', Dont say this to me" over and over. It was actually quite funny but yet still annoying none the less.

A man with a thick accent called and didn't ask for anyone, he said his name was Alex from Geek Support and said he wanted me to get on my computer to run Windows. He never asked for me when he called. It wasn't until after I asked him to verify his company again that he asked for my name. I knew it was a scam so I told him I wasn't interested. He then tried to ask me if I was married with kids, etc. He told me to call him back at 855-
481-5399 not the original number he called me from. Do not give this company any information. SCAM!!

Better yet, DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE if you don't recognize the number.  Since you did, your number is listed as "active" and they've most likely already sold it to 100 other scammers.

Don't just go by the area code.  If you don't recognize the number, don't answer.  Just because it's your area code doesn't mean it isn't a scam caller.  They can use any area code and number they want.

I get calls daily from this number. When I answered I was asked to allow him to sign on. Icon said from Geek although he claimed he was affiliated with Microsoft. Not true. Some time later got a call from a woman who wanted to discuss windows 8. After that I could not understand a single word which I told her and terminated the call. Both  people had heavy accents but she was beyond comprehension..

I tell the "Geek" either we don't have a computer or we use Apple!  That clusters them big time!     Love to make them squirm.  Idiots!!!

I've missed a bunch of calls with different groupings of the same digits, and finally decided to pick up the call this morning to see who it is. It was a man with rather heavy accent telling me to log onto my windows, because my windows was generating Adware? Really strange. Made me feel very uncomfortable. How did he get my number??

They call all the time. I love to screw with them and waste their time. I make it out like I am a complete computer nerd and they go on and on. You have a virus on your computer. I do? Yes, Ma'am. I will help you get rid of it. Oh yes, please help me. I know nothing about computers. blah, blah, blah.

A woman with a heavy Indian accent identified herself as "Iris" and asked if I had a computer. Knowing of the scammers out there who pretend to be computer support techs in order to steal identity/credit card info, I told her "I don't have computer problems" and hung up. "Iris"? Yeah, right. If her name really was Iris, I'll eat my shoes for lunch. My husband is an IT professional; I don't need outside computer support even from legitimate companies!
