- [***] ESGroupLLC| 4 repliesI keep getting spam from this place called "ESGroupLLC" about sports betting. They spam from different numbers, and do it multiple times a day, but it's always about sports betting. I hate these [***] with a passion

- Tamianth replies to [***] ESGroupLLC| 3 repliesConsider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so. If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

For text messages: forwarding any text message spam you get to the short code “7726,” which spells “spam” on most phones, to alert your network operator to the abuse. ATT won't accept 7726 But they will accept BLOCK and return a message that the web site is blocked. forward the texts to 7726 or BLOCK, depending on your phone carrier.

- - replies to Tamianth| 2 repliesHi, thanks for the tips, but I have been getting multiple spam texts everyday for about a month and a half now, and have no idea why or how since I never give my number out to anyone I don't know. I have already reported every single spam text online to multiple forums, my telephone provider by forwarding them to 7726, and to the FTC. My phone number has already been on the Do-Not-Call-List for several years now, but it's only good for telephone calls, and not spam texts. Unfortunately my phone doesn't have blocking already in it, and I have an Android phone running 4.4, so there are no longer any available apps that allow you to block text messages...just phone calls. The only advice my phone carrier could give me is to get a new phone number. Even though I have reported every single one of these spam texts, I don't feel that my phone carrier or the FTC does anything after it's been reported.

- Donny BR| 2 repliesI called a number I heard advertised on the Howard Stern show about sports betting pics on my google voice number, and these people have been messaging me (as well as 1 or 2 other handicapper marketers at times). The thing is though, these guys message you with actual picks, not just a solicitation for their service. The crazy part, is these guys seem to be pretty good at what they do, and consistently pick more winners than losers. I came to this site because I looked the company up on google to try to figure out how to subscribe.
Sorry to those of you upset with the spam, but I guess people like me are the ones encouraging them to continue using these tactics. I am of the opinion that anyone being contacted by these guys did at some time call some advertised number about sports betting. It's not something you sign up for, but rater you call one place out of morbid drunken late night curiosity, ans then they give your number to 5 other people.- Caller: ESGroupLLC

- Donny replies to -In my case I never "gave" my number to anyone. I called one person advertising sports betting picks on the radio (on a google voice number which I thought was disposable or you get a new number each call). You number gets on a list because you call someone and they take the number from the caller ID and sell it 10 other people.
- Robert Williams| 5 repliesLike Donny BR said, I kept getting unsolicited picks from these people. Like him, they actually had a good record for me. I texted the guy, and flat out told him, I would see his record after 10 picks. If it was over 65%, I was wiling to sign on with them. They got to 6-2 with me, which is awesome. I got the 7th winning pick after the outcome was already over, but never saw it before the game like the rest of the picks. I was still playing on my own every day and doing alright. When I told him that I had won on the game as well that he sent me the late pick on, dude went ballistic. He turned into Mr. Hyde like IMMEDIATELY. Like someone flipped a switch. Called me a liar, loser, everything else, used vulgarity. you name it. He told me to prove it, by giving him my picks. The next day I did. Gave him two picks. I lost the very first one, and dude called me up and left an obscene message on my phone. It was unreal. Won the 2nd one, but that didn't matter. I was a loser. I then texted him and said, if I was such a loser, maybe he should keep me around, and just bet opposite of what I say to pick. He would be wealthy in no time! I then gave him two more night picks :-p !!! (which I split out on)

- BigA replies to Robert Williams| 4 repliesSounds to me more like you have a gambling problem. Dealing with these crooks will certainly run you out of money real fast.
- Robert Williams replies to BigA| 3 repliesI do this for fun. I have a nice income. I only play with money I can afford to lose. Instead of placing the blame on me, how about faulting the scamdicappers. These guys should be run out of business. And the way they treat people is atrocious. They are in the business of being salesmen, and with they way they act, no one will want to have anything to do with them, good handicappers or not
- RobertWilliams replies to Donny BR| 1 replySo Donny?? Did you wind up on the road to riches, or did these scam artists take you to the poor house?
- Tamianth replies to -You are most welcome! :)

- Foo Fighters replies to Robert Williams| 1 replyDid you read about the tout Adam Meyer? Put a gun in the face of a regular and took him for 25 Million. Https://raaant.com/adam-meyers I think he's going to be in prison for the rest of his life. Six counts so far.
- RobertWilliams replies to Foo FightersI have no idea who that is. I just found this forum because of dealing with these ESGroupLLC people sending unsolicited texts to my phone. I am being harassed by some trolls on here however, Makes me regret ever sharing my experience in the first place.
- NCC2231| 2 repliesAnyone receiving an unwanted text from this number should report them to your provider by forwarding them messages to 7726.

- NCC2231 replies to TheJokerIt's helped me stop unwanted texts. There are also apps that can block the messages as well.
BTW, who are you speaking of? I haven't been here in a while and I just want to be prepared.
