I received a message from this number on August 20. They said they were from Chef World and because I had recently registered with Knot.com I was entered in a sweepstakes. I had won a $100 gas card, $1000 grocery card, and a 3 day/2 night vacation in the Bahamas. All I had to do was call the number back to get my claim number and I could pick up my prize later in the week at a bridal show in the town where I live. I can't find anything about this on the web...I haven't called back. It seems like a scam.

I received the same phone call.  Through some creative digging, I was able to find out a bit more about the offer.  It is a promotional offer to get you to sit through a seminar and learn about their products. When I called the number, an answering machine asked me to leave my information.  I chose not to pursue it, so I'm not sure how the whole thing pans out.  But you can find more info on their website... http://chefworldinc.com/promotions.html.

    Hope this helps!

I keep receiving voice mail messages from this lady from "Chef World" also.  It has been happening since I went to a bridal shower in the fall.  I think its a scam and won't return any her calls.

I received a couple calls also...seems too good to be true. The first caller told me I registered at knot.com, the second one told me i registered at this bridal show, which i actually went to...I asked him where his exhibit was set up, and he described the area perfectly. So maybe he was at the show and maybe I did enter a contest. I know I entered a couple contests but I cant remember if I entered anything with Chef World. Still, theres gotta be some way to determine if this is legitimate. They said I dont have to pay a penny for anything, so what are they going to scam me for? They called from a New Jersey number but gave me a different number to call back. The one listed above... ANY HELPFUL INFO WOULD BE APPRECIATED...

My friend and I both were entered in this ChefWorld thing through a bridal show we attended. She went to the seminar this passed Sunday and bought some of their products. In addition to the gas card, grocery coupons, and vacation she also got a trip to Mexico. Its legit, its just that you have to deal with a 90 minute hard selling presentation where they try to get you to buy kitchen ware. My fiance and I are going tonight to the presentation to get our gifts but will leave our credit cards at home so we aren't tempted to buy anything. If you're having problems with them calling, just call them back and ask to be taken off the list.

I got a call from 845-782-1400 about winning promotional prizes and all i had to do was show up to a 90 min course. seemed a little odd so i googled chefworldinc scam. i called the lady back and asked why i couldnt buy the products online because the site seemed shady. she said you have to go to the presentation. i said can you send me more info about your product? she said i dont have a computer. i sense this is a timeshare deal. so i cancelled my meeting.

I received the gifts and went to their 90 minute presentation. Products were excellent and the gift package was what they said it was. No, I'm not an employee....not a scam.

Me and my fiance attended their cooking seminar....The food was great and the gifts were nice. I purchased a food storage unit and a small set of cutlery. The seminar went about 90 minutes....prices seem resonable.

My fiance an I also went to the presentation. Has anyone recieved the cookware that they purchased. they said it would come in 7-10 days. Did you get it, and was it what you saw in the presentation. I'm still skeptical

I'm reading some of these negative posts about Chefworld,so I thought I would put mt two cents in. My daughter has their products and is very happy. She and Her Husband used their Mexico trip and had a great time.Listen kids...Not all companies are scams. If they call I suggest you take a look at their products and get some free advertising gifts or tell them your not interested.
