I also got a text from this number wanting to buy something from us but due to his job he could only text. He wanted the email address of our pay pal account so he could send money but the item was also listed on ebay and I told him I would go threw ebay to use our pay pal account and he refused. Sounds like a scam to me.

I posted a car on craigslist and this number started texting me immediatley. They stated they wanted to purchase my car but due to them working as a marine biologist they could only text. They texted me like 10 times total and one message was at 230 A.M . asking for my paypal account . Definetely a SCAM .

I literally 5 minutes ago(3am CST), got a text from "Rose". Initially, I replied, but I did include a little "haha" on the name Rose McGowan. Seriously?!
She's contacting me about a truck I'm selling. After finding ya'lls thread here, I sent a text saying I wasn't interested in doing business with her, and if she texted back, she was violating federal laws as she was crossing state lines with harassment :) If she's dumb enough to keep using the same number(s), she's dumb enough to believe me. (Although, I do think there's A LITTLE truth in that ^ statement LOL)

Had a great adventure today with "Rose McGowan".  Listed a vehicle on Craigslist yesterday, and "Rose" promptly texted my husband that she was willing to pay full price, sight unseen, as a surprise for a cousin.  Of course, she needed our paypal address in order to pay us...  yeah, okay.  I sent an old email address that wasn't connected to my paypal account to see where this led.  She then informed us that she was going to hire a courier to have it shipped, and that she'd add the fee to the purchase price so we could forward to the courier.  Um... NO.  So, my husband told her that he drives big trucks for a living and would feel more comfortable delivering it himself - could deliver it anytime, anywhere and save her $1,200!  She wouldn't hear of it, insisted that she HAD to use this courier.  We told her we knew she was a scammer, she replied that people have been fraudulently using her number, we told her to forget it, she said "too late, I've already sent the money to your paypal account."  I informed her that's [***], the email is not connected to Paypal.  LOL!  I checked my old email and sure enough, there's an email in there from Paypal stating that the full amount was deposited.  I promptly called Paypal and informed them of the fraud, and forwarded the email to their phishing department.  IDIOT.

I also have been receiving texts wanting to purchase a table i have on craigslist for her son. Said she was in military and unable to use phone lines. Said she deposited money in my pay pal and wanted me to front the 250 for shipping and then pay pal would reimburse me. Should I report this to police?
