I think it's the debt consolidation scammers again, using a new fake number to hide behind. Some of it was the same as it has been in previous calls, the caller has a thick Indian accent, and says he's calling to "talk about your credit card debt." This time he said he was from "United Debt Attorneys," that's a new one they haven't used on me before. I told him we weren't interested (we have no debt) he got nasty with me (like they always do) and I hung up on him.

These guys are scammers and crooks. They're not a legit debt consolidation company. If they were, why would they call someone with no debt? Most legit companies I thought wait for people to call them too. I think these guys probably either scare people into sending them money (but no debt consolidation is ever done) or they use the info people are conned out of to steal their identities.

Don't fall for it. Tell them to shove off. They keep calling because they're coached on how to scare people and some are falling for it. Tell them that if they have anything important, to send it in the mail and that you're reporting them to your state's attorney general. That usually scares them, they'll swear at you and hang up. A professional, legitimate company wouldn't do that.

Same as above....thick foreign accent...calling about debt on my credit cards. I asked him which credit card he was calling about and he said all of them combined. I told him I don't have debt and he said well our records show us you do. I said well then tell me which card you are calling about and he hung up!  I call ed the number back but as usual it was a non operating number.

Same as above the guy got mad when I called him a scammer and he said he wanted to $u7$ my wife and make me bark like a dog. Pretty pathetic. I think these guys should have their fingers cut off!

A man with an Indian accent asked for me by name, said he got my number from United Services (or some name like that), and asked if I had more than $10,000 in debt.  I asked him again where he got my number from, because I do NOT have the number that he called me on listed with any of the financial institutions that I conduct business with.  I pressed for an answer as to where he got my number from, and he didn't seem too interested in helping me to figure that out, because he hung up on me.  Smells like a scam.

Same as above.  Man the first day, called 2 times. Woman the next day, both with Indian accents. They called  2 days in row, well before 7:00 am.  The first time they asked for a specific person.  I told them that person has never lived here and we've had this number for years.  He jumped right into a debt relief proposal. I kept cutting him off while talking telling him we have no debt.  He got very nasty with me and hung up.  Second day the woman called. I asked her "Do you realize is not even 7am, and she hung up.  I suspect she will call again.  They say they are from United Services.  I cannot find them online anywhere.  I will try to call them this time.

Apparently still a debt consolidation scam.  I did not answer and they left no message.

DO NOT return these type of calls.  If you do, you have initiated contact from your end and that bypasses the "do not call list" entirely.  Just let it go OR fill out a form with the FCC:
    http://www.fcc.gov/complaints

    It's easy and somewhat satisfying!
