said they were from "windows support" & someone was using our email & our computer had a virus. The man had an Indian accent & said his name was "Scott Wilson".  He wanted to verify our windows license #.  SCAM!!!

Call identified as Internation_LD. Man with Indian accent asked for my wife by name but couldn't pronounce it. I asked him who he was and he told me that he was from the Windows Technical Support and that he needed to help fix my computer. I told him that I knew the crime that he perpetrates and I'm not falling for it. He responded with an ear full of swear words about my wife and my mother and hung up. I called the number back and it was a recording that identified itself as BTI,  said it was a do not call list. I hung up and reported the call to donotcall.gov.

Received a call from this number yesterday.  The man had an Indian accent and said he was from Windows support and that someone was trying to hack into my computer.  I was wise to the scam and decided to make him work for it.

Got a call Same as the note from FB.  Phone ID as   "INTERNATION_LD. 1-864-450-0417. The caller had Indian accent. He said he is calling to verify if my windows workstation is working ok? I asked him who he was  he said he had a call from my household that we had virus on our windows workstation and needed help. He has fixed the problem.  He needs my workstation IP address to verify if the virus was cleared. So I said first of all , how come he remotely fixed  the virus without my IP address and secondly, I do not have a windows workstation. Then he said I have virus on my network so the IP address is compromised and hug up.

I received a call tonight, (this is the second time). I decided to have some fun with them. 'Jordan Smith', with an Indian accent asked how many computers I had. I asked why did it matter? Then he said he was from 'Window's Company'. I said there was no such thing. Microsoft sells Windows, but there's no Windows company. He says they're the same thing. He proceeds to tell me that someone is trying to hack my computer. I said I knew exactly who, THEY are. Then he tells me to 'F*** off' and 'Go to H***' and I'm a 'P****'. I laughed at him and told him we were recording the call and notifying the authorities. The next time I'm going to tell them we don't have a computer and ask what is this internet they speak of........

Got a call from this dork. heavy Indian accent. tried to get my IP addy , said he was from Microsoft.
Hungup as soo as I told him I would call MS about issue.
If he or friend calls again I will give him all wrong info about me, my computer, warning him about my newlt installed
homeland security retrace scanner, yadda, yadda. This should be fun.

Just received the same call, same as the rest of your comments. I hung up, very scary. Go back to your country!

I received the same call as the others commented from an Indian man with a broken accent - 1-864-540-0417.  He said he needed my computer ID - he was with Microsoft Technical support and I just hung up on him.  It is disturbing how he even got my phone number?????

Received a call yesterday from a man with an Indian accent who said we was a Technician with Microsoft. Tried to get access to my computer through a software program but I got the message and hung up. He called me back and I told him to buzz off. Another idiot with a similar accent had the audacity to call me today with the same request. With a 3rd degree black belt in Muay Thai, if I ever catch the [***], I will literally reach down his throat, grab him by the ______ and turn him inside out. I just hope he reads this message,

Same story. a call from "Windows Support" and their was a problem with my computer.
I informed him i didn't use Windows, only Apple.. He replied we don't support Apple thanked me and said goodbye.. What the heck, no support for Apple? They need to step up ;-)

Same exact phone call but my husband took over and told the guy off.  I am sure he didn't understand a word WE said....as we could barely understand a word he said....

I've taken to just answering these calls on speaker phone and waiting without answer until something happens.  Today it sat silent, then after about 15 or 20 seconds, there was a beep (I pressed no keys) and then it said "Your request to be removed from our call list has been accepted."

Wow!  Self terminating call bots?!?  A dream come true!
