I rec'd a call from this number. They were asking for my x husband of 20 yrs. I told them I was a business & they had the wrong number. They apologized but still proceeded to ask if I knew him. I declined any info. They then offered to remove my cell number.

don't know who, why. I never answered, just pressed on/off

It's the Law office of Ed Overcash, LLC, a debt collector, They also call from 855-854-6151. Don't ever answer. Block the number(s) if you can. They've purchased old debt that's likely out of the statute of limitations and is only a line-item on a spreadsheet with a name & possibly a SSN. They're trying to confirm your identity and address so they can begin the bogus legal threats.

They called me from 864-640-8739 but did not leave a voice message. I googled the number and found this site. Lo and behold, my mom calls and said I need to call Angelica at the Law Office of Ed Overcash. Hmmmm, why didnt they just leave me a message...red flag #1! I called and Angelica was "busy" so Cassandra Owens said I needed to validate my address. NOT..red flag #2! She got quite irritated when I kept saying I wasnt validating anything until she told me the nature of the call. She refused so I kept refusing. I dont validate anything because a real debt collector would have your info!  But Im still stuck on....why did they call my mom and how did they get her number. I get these scam calls all the time!

Good idea to simply block these calls.  Do not return the calls.   If they have a valid claim, they will send you something in writing.  If they call you, demand a debt validation letter be sent to you by US mail.  E-mail no good.
