Never saw this number call to my cell phone ever before... I dialed it from my work phone (3 times) and each time I received a disconnected message.  Whoever it was, did not leave a message / voice-mail.  I dialed the number from my cell phone and the call went through!!?  Was answered by someone that only anwered "C.R.A." -- this is an attempt to collect on a credit card debt (I paid it off 10 years ago, I do not have any proof or receipts that go back 10 years, they want 4 times the amount that I had originally owed, and it is way past the statute of limitations).

I am also getting calls from this number. do you have at&t prepaid phone?

they also have a lot of other numbers that they call from..

They threatened to turn my debt into the IRS as income.

Getting calls left and right from these people, they call restricsted aswell never picked up the phone until this morning.    They are tring to get me to pay a bill my son owes thats 10 years old, I am going to my attorney today on this one.

It's CRA. They are a VERY shady collection agency that buy debts PASSED the statue of limitations and try to scare you into giving them money. Since these debts are no longer valid they buy them up at pennies on the dollar so if they can scare ONE person into paying them, they've made money for the day or week. DON'T give them any information. I store all their numbers & send them right to voicemail.

They where looking for Michael Mallard... that is not me. I'm always afraid of answering calls from numbers I do not recognize. I followed the phone prompts... I'll have to call my cell provider to make sure I'm not getting charged for something just by pressing keys on my cell. Who knows what they can bill you for these days!

I recv'd a call from a woman who stated that she is calling from C.R.A, and I don't have any dealing with them and I knew it was a solicitaed call due to the lack of info she provided and the tone of her voice.

Scumbag zombie debt collectors.  If they call you, that means youe debt is old-- so old it isn't even on your credit report.  There is nothing they can do, except harass you until they give up, and sell your zombie debt to scumbags even lower on the totem pole.  Ignore them, laugh at them, scream at them.  Just don't pay them.  You don't have to.

I've received a call from this number a couple of times asking for someone who I don't even know.  I think it was the same wrong person each time but I can't remember.  They pushed and pushed that I knew this person, but I don't.  It would be one thing if I weren't telling the truth, but since I don't know this person, it's bordering on harassment.

tell them "cease and desist calling this number".  Problem is you may have to cease them in writing.  Call them back from Skype or another untraceable number and get their address.  Then write a note, use colorful language, and cease them that way.  mention the FDCPA.

My credit has always been perfect.  I check it 3 times a year for 20 years now.  They call me anyhow, but never leave a message (telephone dialer program).

I've noticed that of late many collectors have been trying to find ways around the recent legislation that forbids spoofing your caller ID, and it looks as though CRA fall into that group. The caller ID simply said ANDERSON (the phone company's official ID when they can only obtain the caller's city would have been ANDERSON CALLER, so there's evidently still some spoofing going on). No message was left (possibly because our VM is currently full or close to it).

I have reported this number and many,many others that plague my answering machine daily to the Do Not Call registry. Hopefully they will just give up because I NEVER answer the phone or return their calls.

I just received a call from these people called CRA.  I answered the phone and the girl that came onto the line asked me to hold because a manager wanted to speak to me regarding some "preliminary documents".  When this "manager" came on the line he told me that I owed a credit card company some money and that if I didn't pay, that they would then file papers to see me in court and also with the IRS.  He then went on (in a harassing manner) telling me that I should not have opened credit if I could not pay it off.  I told him that I make minimum wage and that I am currently in school.  He told me "well, I guess you need to drop out of school and get another job then"!  I then asked him why he had an attitude because I didn't personally owe him money.  His response was, it might as well be my money since it's in my office!  ARGHHHHHHH!!!!  I have NEVER been so harassed and spoken to like this from a collections company...so, I will be contacting the BBB and filing a complaint!  Horrible people!!!!!!!!

They are such jerks!!! It should be illegal!
