- E.L.When I would try to call the number back it would say
due to network difficulities your call can not be completed as dialed.
They have called a number of times in one day. - Josh Edwards| 2 repliesI'm a student and I receive 1-3 calls a day during school from this number. When I call back it always makes the "off the hook" sound.
- TAThis is a debt collector automated outdialer. The number is registered through Brooks as "Intl number" probably to fool the recepient into thinking it is an International call, in order that the recepient will answer. This is the reason that dialing the number back results in no response or busy.

- BrianGot a call from this number, and it's in my local area code. John said he was from White Pages, wanting to update my information. F*cking foreigners, can't speak english or my name very well...I was asked for my info and told it would be $495 for 24 months to update my listing in their enhanced, printed advertising. After trying to tell him I already had my info taken care of in the local Bellsouth Phone Book, he kept pushing. I finally just said "there is no way I'm paying you $28/month for 24 months when I don't know who you are, and I've already taken care of my local business phone ad with Bellsouth Yellow Pages...goodbye" and hung up. Who are this people?

- AlexI received several obscure and disturbing text messages and a phone call from 865-2929496. A reversed phone number search linked the number to Brooks Fiber Communications Knoxville TN.
As a side note in regards to the message from 'Brain' please watch you language talking about foreigners in such general terms. It doesn't speak of much respect for your own ancestors, assuming you're not native American.

- WDYep, same story about Brooks Fiber Communications. Thick accent. Got my name wrong. Kept calling and calling no matter how strongly I told them not to.
The story he kept mumbling, every time, was that I was due to get a check since I'd always paid my utility bill on time. Was I going to be home tomorrow? That sounds like a process server, but I've never done anything to get served on. Not even a traffic ticket.
The number they used every time with me was 865 291 0234. I used *60 to block that number and then added the other numbers posted here. Thanks for posting your experiences. 620 Market St? Isn't that the Home Federal Bank Building, just south of Market Square?- Caller: Brooks Fiber Communications
- CrimzoneI just got a similar call from 8889861890. "Express Delivery" had a package and didn't have my unit #. How they got my street address is a mystery, as I never get mail here but at a mailbox store, and my cell phone and car are also registered there. I do have a vindictive ex with a judgment against me, but I cannot imagine how they got my street address. The only thing I can figure is either the electric co or my unlisted landline, which is only hooked up to a fax.
I have never heard of "Express Delivery" and neither has the office staff in my complex.
At first I thought it was my ex, but I think it must be something like this Brooks Co. Aside from the judgment, which is from a frivolous lawsuit (and my ex is a multimillionaire; I am broke and unfortunately judgment-proof at the moment), there's no reason I would ever be receiving same-day delivery of anything.
Did anyone here ever actually receive this delivery? It sounds strongly like it's some marketing ploy from what everyone says here and that no package ever shows up. But how they got my street address is creeping me out. - CrimzoneOK, I figured it out. A few days ago I signed up for one of those "get paid for taking surveys" scams, and opened two accounts with my two addresses before I realized they don't actually pay. That's the only place the combination of my cell phone and home address could possibly come up. They obviously sell this info to various companies....so that's all it is.
