I received a vacation invitation for a3day/2 night stay at any of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino locations and a bonus of 5day/4night cancun trip.

i just received a post card with the same hard rock invitation.  When i called the number they say "you may be eligible..." an dout me on hold for too long.  Did anyone get through??

I received the same thing but decided to do some investigating on the internet about Solo Promotions.  I'm glad I did.

Received a postcard for a complimentary hotel stay at the Hard Rock.  Company requests that you attend a 90 minute presentation in coral springs to hear about their travel savings program (likely timeshares). They say the presentation is without obligation, and that for attending you will receive a "voucher" redeemable for your 3/2 stay at the Hard Rock, plus a free bonus 5 day vacation in Cancun Mexico.  Was told the vouchers are redeemable anytime other than a holiday, by calling Hard Rock directly, and paying them a $50 room deposit.

I received a postcard yesterday from Solo Promotions offering a Carnival Caribbean Cruise - asking me to call 1-866-203-1926. Thought I would check it out on the web. I'm going to deep six it.....

As a former travel rep I was convinced that this was a scam. I received the same 'invitation' and opted not to call.

Carnival should do something about their good name being used in this kind of sleazy business.

Excellent info about Solo Promotions.  I received a postcard for a special offer to stay at the Marriot.  When I wasn't able to get through to the company by phone, I did an internet search.  Thank goodness I did.  I'm glad I wasn't scammed.

thanks for this site.  I rec'd postcard today and was just about to call; however, since I fel that so many are scams i figured i'd ck out the return address 'solo promotions' and just 'SEE' what they were about & wah-la!! all you great folks relieved me of some frustration and aggravation.  Thanks to all who take the time out to warn others. Received a post card from Solo Promotions and did some research and found out about the scam. I think Marriott should sue them for using Marriott's name several times on the post card.  Is there anything we can do to prevent Solo from sending out these post cards to others who are not aware of this scam?

I received post card from above tel number 1-866-203-1926 with a Solo Promotions, 9337 West Sample Rd # 201, Coral Springs Fl 33065 address.  I called and spoke with "Lorie" and after several minutes and questions about the Marriott Complimentary Vacation, the bottom line came to a 90 minute presentation this weekend (8/2/08) somewhere in Tampa Florida. Lorie then instructed me if I became interested I could call back and leave a message and she would call me back. I called Merriott Corp. and no one could varify this Solo Promotions and their intentions. My information was logged in and I was informed to make sure I understood any and all information.  This is not a Merriott Vacation Club International offer that I am aware of.

The telephone number 1-866-203-1926 on post card offering from Solo Promotion Coral Springs Florida, 3 days 2 nights at Merriott Location within USA mainland, plus free airline tickets free, is not a Merriott Vacation Club offer. A call to Merriott stated one should read all the fine print connected to this or any other offer for your protection.

i like the typos on the postcard: "NO PURCHASE NECCESARY" and "MELINNUIM TRAVEL"... Sheesh!

I got the same "MARRIOTT" card.  I did not call because it stated that I could stay at any Marriott including Fairfield and Holiday Inn.  I know that Marriott has nothing to do with Holiday Inn and they would never promote them.  This has to be a scam.
