I received 2 calls a day from this number for several days, did not answer because caller ID came up as unknown.  Every time a recorded message was left on my voice mail: collect call, press 1 to accept 2 to reject, 6 to stop receiving calls.

Out of curiosity I called the number and received another recorded message that to the effect that a loved one in a correctional facility was trying to reach me and to call this number 800-844-6591. I called and got another recording.  Does anyone know what this is?  

I do not have any loved ones in correctional facilities.

it should say "this a collect call from ______ (the caller from the correctional facility will state his or her name)  Press one to accept charges..." and so on.  Whoever the prisoner or incarcerated person is states their name to identify themselves.  I would have pressed 1 just one time to see who it was and tell them they had the wrong number.

I know this b/c I do have a loved one in a correctional facility who calls me weekly.
