Got a computerized call from 8662192430, claiming to be my pharmacy. Said my first & last name then asked for personal info - starting with my birth date, supposedly to confirm MY identity... even though they called me!  Scam!!!!!!!!!

It was Rite Aid, asking for permission to refill my prescription that was due to run out.  I had no refills, and it automatically called my dr. to get refills.  Awesome Service!!

I telephoned Rite Aid customer service at the number on their website (1-800-RITEAID (1-800-748-3243)).  The person in customer service verified that it was a legitimate number for prescription services from Rite Aid.

Not sure why the ID says 'Unavailable'...

Yes, it is a prescription service provided by Rite Aid to remind you when you need to refill your prescription but I have never had to confirm anything with them i.e. personal information.

I received a message on my voicemail from this number asking for me by name requesting that I call back.  The message did say it was from Rite Aid.  When I called back, it wanted me to verify personal info.  Considering anyone can call from anywhere, I hung up and did not go any further with the call.  Anyone can claim to be Rite Aid and ask for personal info.

This may be perfectly legitimate, but in view of my personal info safety, I will handle my refills on my own.

I received a message on my office voicemail last Thursday in the a.m.  It also said it was from RiteAid, but I don't know if it asked for me by name.  The beginning of the message was cut off because it didn't wait for my outgoing message to finish first.  The problem is that I am in Vancouver, BC and as far as I know, RiteAid doesn't have any Pharmacies in Canada.  The nearest one is in Blaine, WA and I am NOT a customer, even when I travel to the US on vacation.

Recieved the call from this number and it started with is this _____.  I said yes and then it said to confirm my identity with their system by telling them my birthday.  I hung up.  There are too many scams out there.  How do you know who you are talking to anymore?

Legitimate call from Rite Aid prescription service to remind me about a refill.

It's a scam, people! My dad keeps getting calls from 866 numbers claiming to be riteaid--we have NEVER used rite aid before. Don't give them any of your information!

Just got a message when I picked up: "the requested page could not be found."

Myself and my daughter do have prescriptions with Rite Aid, but it's just down the street and we do business in person. They have our cell numbers, not the house number they called!

Today I received yet another phone call from 866-219-2430. I got the same computerized message as Chuck: "the requested page could not be found." What the hell is this and who can I complain to in order to stop it?

I just called Rite Aid customer service (1-800-748-3243) and was told that 1-866-219-2430 is a legitimate company phone number. The customer service representative explained that the automated refill service is experiences "glitches" (I'll say) which are being investigated by their technical support team. CVS here I come!

Scam alert!!!!!

For the past 8 days the calls have been hang-ups on my voicemail.  However, today an automated message was left saying to call 866-219-2430 from the number that was dialed and then "thank you for using Rite Aid".  I immediately did a reverse search on the number because there is no reason for Rite Aid to call.    Be careful!

Rite Aid - automatic prescription refill system for their various pharmacies and subsidiary holdings (including the former Fays, Brooks, JC Penny pharmacy chains).  I believe that Brooks system also operated in Canada, as well as New England states.

Their caller ID should record Rite Aid.  That they hide their name shows a lack of consideration and professionalism.  I, too, do not take Unavailable callers, unless I personally know the number.

I received a message on my cell voicemail today friday 8.28.09 in the a.m.  It also said it was from RiteAid, but I don't know if it asked for me by name.  The beginning of the message was cut off because it didn't wait for my outgoing message to finish first. It wanted me to verify I was "me" and then enter my birthdate. I deleted immedietly! You should too!
