Seems to be a repossession company working on behalf of Chase Auto Finance.  Rude and threatened to knock on door and sit in front of house all day and night.  Reported to Chase and to Florida Dept. of Agriculture (ahency that regulates repossession and tow companies).

They are a repo. company.  A guy named Angel called with a case number and told me to return his call before 7 pm.  I have nothing to do with the person he's looking for, but somehow  they got my cell number because I have the same last name as this person wich is my ex wife, but my name is not on the car papers at all, but they think we still together. I got divorce over 4 years ago.  I see tow truck by my house every day, because they got my address also, and they are looking in the wrong place, not even in the same state to were the car is located now, but I don't say anything becasue [***] THEM.  I think is funny that they drive by every day, they look at me and keep going, like I have anything to do with it.  Is freaky by funny.  If they keep calling you, don't answer, they are just looking for your car. Let them waste time.

Last wek a women named Denise left a card stating "It is Vital that I speak with you and is in your best intrest to contact me ASAP"
at rental property that I own.  The tentant called me and told me so I went by and picked up the card.  That evening I called and spoke to a OUTRAGOUSLY RUDE man "Dennis" who said that they were looking for my ex husband (we were divorced over 5 years ago).  I googled the phone number so I knew he was calling from a repo company. I told him that my ex moved with his girlfriend to another state and that I didn't speak to him.  The man went on to tell me that he "knew I was lieing" (I was NOT lieing) and that he was going to contunine to knock on my tentants door and tell her
"I was hiding property from the bank and that if I'd do that then she should be concerned that my property (that she was living in) might go into forclosure and she should think about moving!"  I couldn't believe my ears!
The next day I was told by my neighbors that "Denise" was knocking on doors asking questions about me, my comings and goings, who lived in my house what cars were in the garage, who I worked for, if any of hem had a PICTURE of me, what school my kids went to, what where there names... I was in SHOCK.  I called "Denise" and tryed to explaine to her that I was divorced (it's public record) for over 5 years and didn't have the car she was looking for nor had I never!  I was not on the loan for the car- I wasn't even married to my ex when he had the car!  She said she was going to keep knocking on my neighbors doors until I provided her with contact information for my ex.  She said "since you have children together you must know how to reach him".  I tried to explain that we DO NOT have any children together and I had no knowledge of his current location.  She refused to listen and was SCREAMING at me calling me a liar!  I assure you that I know who the father of my children are and there was NO reason for this women to speak to me the way she did.  The threats of harrasing my neighbors and tentant I've reported to the police and the Florida Department of Agriculture.  I've also sumbitted my story to a local news channel (News Channel 8) here in Tampa Florida.  I can't believe that these types of practices are legal and the proper way to handle "repo situtations".

Sam thing as Mommy above.  Left a card at my door, saying it was vital and my best interests to contact them.  Put the card in the trash and if this Joe person shows up my door again, I will tell him it is my property and I will call the police on him for trespass.   It was a friend who had stayed at my house for like six months and bought a car, moved to s.florida from tampa and apparently feel behind on his payments and the car was repossessed.  This kind of practice isn't legal.   You cannot show up at people's door to collect a debt.  Apparently they have the car and they must have sold it.  I don't think it is through the florida department of agriculture, but the attorney general's office you have to file a complaint.

Repo Company Rep - Fred left card - Haven't called - Dealing with Ford on the issue. 60 day's late since job lost and Ford's promo last year that they'll make your car payment if you loose your job is a total joke.. Everyone is suffering from amnesia...

If you live in a house and they show up - tell them to leave and call the police - tell the police your armed and someone is trespassing on your property.  They can't make a scene and once you tell them to leave there trespassing if they don't leave.

Get in touch with your local police station and they'll explain what they can and can't do...

I received a card and contacted them.  They were very professional with me.  I understand that they are just doing their job.  My ex wife had the car and wasn't making payments.  I had no idea until I contacted them.

It doesnt make you a scumbag. Sometimes people do fall on hard times, and hold on to the vehicle to try and buy time to find a solution. They made need the car to get to work. They might have a family. Yes ideally the right thing is to give it up right away, and maybe some people are scumbags but not all. Its important to put yourself in the shoes of the other person and their possible situation before judging. I hope you never fall on hard times, but if you do, you will understand.

They didn't call us.  They came to my house looking for someone with the same last name as us, left a card on our door.  The card was intimidating, as it says: INVESTIGATING AGENT. IT IS VITAL I SPEAK WITH YOU AN IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST TO CONTACT ME ASAP.
It had a case number and a person name on it.  They were at the wrong house, They didn't even knock on our door.  We weren't the person they were even looking for.
They need to BE SURE before they do these things to people.

Got someone by the name of Crystal that left a voicemail saying to contact her ASAP and left a reference number, about being a investigative agent. Now I know who this number belongs to,,,In my case I guess the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing because the vehicle had been paid off 2 months ago, so I will let them figure it out.

This company is calling and harassing my family looing for a car we have already told Ford we are turning in.  Last night they parked a flat bed tow truck out side our house at 1:30 in the morning.  That is a breach of peace  and illegal.  Also no one can take your vehicle with out a Repleventh...papers from the court saying they are the person who may take the car!! As long  as
you  dont make a physical threat you can tell them to leave and they MUST LEAVE!! They cant force you to give   them the car.  If they try hooking up the car while you are there GET IN THE CAR!!  If they move the car  more than 5 feet with you in it....ITS KIDNAPPING according to the law.  At that point they have commited a felony and they are screwed!!!!
You dont have to be harassed...you have debters laws on your side!!!

    A Little Scared
Yesterday, I saw a white tow truck in my driveway with no reason for being there. I was home alone so I ducked out of the way. The man from the truck started POUNDING on my door and jamming his finger so hard into the doorbell I could actually hear it struggling to ring. He kept shouting that he saw me and talking to my dogs through the windows, telling them to go get me. He was being so aggressive, there was no way I was even gonna show my face. I called my boyfriend and he heard most of it over the phone. His coworkers said I should call the police, because what they were doing was just plain wrong. His job even let him go to come home to me, because the man's final words were "Have a nice day, I'll be back later" as he hit my doorbell over and over. Then when he was back at his truck he honked all the way down my driveway and down the street. I called the police and had someone there in less than 3 minutes. The deputy was the one that found the card in my door and called the number for me. The company said that they were looking for someone who I assume use to live at my house, because we have gotten his mail in the past. The deputy then told me later that the company took our address out of their system. He also informed me that if someone was doing that to hisdoor that he wouldn't want his wife or daughter to ansewr the door either. Luckily the man never came back, but now any little noise I hear from outside or any light from a car freaks me out.

By the way, the name on MY card was Eric
