I need to know where, who this number belongs to so I can give it to my bank when I go in MOnday ....My debit card has been flagged so it can't be used
- Raybo| 4 repliesThese people sent me information pertaining to Craig's List and then when I got all the bills from them, they stated it was only $1.95 tp obtain the information for Craig's List, the total they charged my credit card was $39.95 and then $129.90. They stated I did not cancel in time, I was 3 days late, so they billed my card all the monies listed above.

- dar8662281231 same phone # made charges on my debit care??? but how did they get my number??? Calling bank...
- kidnolo replies to Suzi| 7 repliesI called and canceled this today by calling 1-866-228-1231
with John Operator ID 4360. I was supposed to be charged
$1.95 for Craig's List selling info. but it ended up to be $1.97
They have numerous other ebooks, etc and you will get charged
after the trial a lot more than $1.95 so cancel right away and
make sure you get the cancelation number. - Dave replies to kidnolo| 6 repliesI got charged $1.95 on my card, which I expected, but also got a charge for $129.90 on the 28th of October.
When I called today to see who they were (8662281231), they told me if I didn't read the terms of service, that was my fault. I told them I will dispute this charge on my credit card. She offered to give me all back but $85.00.
I told her no way! All of it or I will dispute it & in addition write a letter to the Attorney Generals office!
All of a sudden she backed down from her position and said all of it will be refunded back!
I wonder how many people they hook. - Dave replies to Raybo| 2 repliesSame thing happen to me until I told them I would write a letter to the Attorney Generals Office! All of a sudden they told me I would get my money back in 5 days from now, It's now November 1st, 2008. If I don't get my charge removed, I will dispute it and write a letter to the Attorney General's Office. You should do the same.
- Reahna| 2 repliesThis happened to me as well. I'm hunting them down and pressing charges! It's in the works as we speak. :) If you want to get involved please email me at reahnajc@yahoo.com. Thanks

- MelindaI just got charged this a few days ago so I called the number. I tried being nice but after they said they had charged my account and then cancelled everything else I got really pissed. I had read all your comments and threatened to contact the Attorney Generals Office and I was transferred to a supervisor. Granted you are told about the charge but who honestly remembers that in an e-mail 2 months down the road! They said they would refund $100 in 5 days....they better do it!

- Melinda replies to Dave| 1 replyI had the same thing happen and they said they would refund a certain amount in 5 days.....did you get your refund?
- Bee| 2 repliesI got three charges from this company, one for 1.95, one for 39.90, and one for 129.90. I never signed up for any services with them. When I called them they refused to give me their business name and hung up on me several times. I finally got ahold of someone who said that I had signed up for some kind of money making thing and then when I disputed that they called me a liar. I wrote a letter to the Attorney General as well as cancelled the card they were charging. They're supposed to be giving me a refund but I have a full investigation going on through my bank. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAM ARTISTS!!!

Please keep me informed at My email that is: jerry_rad@yahoo.com - rosco| 2 repliesAll I did & all you have to do is open an e-mail from a Craigslist solicitation. They got you/me. $1.95 $39.95 then $129.95 charged on credit card showing 8662281231 as the merchant. Try calling that # - good luck. Try the Attourney General - good luck. What a Scam. Wish I could find out WHERE they are.
- Jerry replies to BeeDid you get your money back?

- cas516 replies to DaveHi, I could only get them to refund $129.90 on November 17th they said the $39.90 was too far back in the computer (???) ( but they had the date of my original e-mail & when I responded to that. It was October 6th,!! I used the attorney general threat, no luck. I got a fast talker who i had to try to keep interupting ( he was good, had an answer for everything) after 45 min. I gave up. What can I do to get the rest of my refund?? He sais I should have read the agreement better & not to ever put my credit card info w/o reading the agreement, u need a lawyer to read that sh-- !!! Anybody got any ideas? PLEASE how do i write to "Craig" ??
Thanks for any answers , I'm on ssi & have a very limited income, i told them i only wanted info & they were misleading.
cas516@sbcglobal.net
He also said I returned the e-mail, which I thought was to confirm that I recieved the &1.95 e-mail, THATS ALL. noooooooooooooooo says Mark!!! - cas516 replies to Reahna| 1 replydid u get any results? i could only get $ 129.90 back. I still want $39.90.
- ShawnI got these charges as well, I advised them I was a debt collector and knew every in and out of the system. They were very kind when i spoke with them, quick to refund every penny they charged me.
see funny thing is, my card was declined for the 39.95. so technically they arent supposed to contine these charges. but no instead they went ahead and charged the next in line.
atty general gets you no where, they dont care enough.
best bet would be to say that your wallet and a whole bunch of personal info was stolen and these charges arent yours, advise them that they need to cancel the acct and refund the money because your bank is already working on the fraud case.- Caller: CraigsList

- SJM| 1 replyHappened to me as well... what unethical people playing on the fact that most people don't fully read the terms and conditions and that most people will forget to cancel. If it were that important to be sure to cancel, then why did it not say that in the email confirmation. I honestly thought I was paying $1.95 for an eBook and that was it. Guess one thing I learned is that I will always read the terms and conditions in full and understand every little word. If these terms and conditions are two long and difficult to understand, then I don't sign up.
I did get my $129.90 back well that is I should get it in 5 days... that does not help the check to my utility provider that will bounce tonight.
