Blocked Private call but they claim to be Conway And Phillips something about a suit. I think it is [***].

I got a phone call from them saying there was a suit against me.

I got a call from this shady company also. "Unavailable" was on the i.d. they gave me a claim number and asked me to have someone call this number at Conway and Phillips. A google search doesn't bring up any company or law firm under this name. They said there was a suit. Well we will see them in court then right? Scammers?

Well let's start off by saying I recieved a very vague message from a rude man named Jayson Walters from a Statewide Processing, the "Jason Walters" couldn't give me any information about a sumons and complaint that was being filed against me through Benton County Court. They told me if I wanted to stop the summons or find out what it was I could call to the Law firm of Conway and Phillips. I asked him what it was for and he said because of the Privacy laws they couldn't tell me, but he said it might have something to do with my car or my house. Naturally I was upset and called the number he gave me 1-866-230-0103. He gave me a case number as C and 6 random numbers which he were given incorrectly. I called them and some snotty girl answered the phone like this, good afternoon how may I direct your call?, so i told her what happened and she said do you have a case number or something to reference. I asked her where I was calling and she said that she was an answering service for many companies. I asked her what companies? She yelled at me and stated when I have a case number to call back or she could look me up by my last name or my phone number they called me at, I asked her how they would know that if it was an answering service??? She yelled at me further telling me her name is Fara and she has a lot of phones to answer because she is very busy and hung up on me. I called again about an hour later and another lady or possibly man answered the phone who was much nicer, and told me that there are different firms in the building was I looking for Conway and Phillips or some other firm, I told him what had happened with Jason Walters, he or she stated that they would put me through to someone who could help. I spoke with a man by the name of Gary Wallace. What a smooth talker. He came on strong telling me that he would help me find out if I was being served or if it was there he would give me the infomation. So again I was put on a silent hold, no music, no nothing it sounded like I was calling some office space like in the movie Boiler Room. I heard so much commotion I couldn't honestly think this was a law firm. After about 30 seconds he was able to locate my "legal action". He gave me all this nonsense again that there was a summons regarding a past due credit card bill. I asked him if he was a lawyer or if it was a law office. He told me that they are paid to file legal papers to counties on behalf of a collection agency. I asked what they were called, he told me paystar. So after he told me I owed tens of thousands of dollars that if I didn't want to go to court that I could possibly take a out of court settlement. So again I was put on hold for about 2 minutes tops. In that time frame he somehow managed to give me 3 different options to pay my supposive lawsuit. A large figured number around 7thousand dollars, or monthly payments of $5oo dollars or monthly pmts smaller but on the whole amount I was being sued for. I told him I;m single and broke. He told me the court will have no mercy and I will be put down in court for a judgement. i got very upset and cried, he played me like a fiddle telling me he understood my situation and he would work with me however he could. I was actually buying "Mr. Wallace's" gimmick till it hit me this has to be a collectoin agency. There were loud noises in the background, and I even heard another male voice in the background saying he was "gary wallace" as well to someone else. I started to get even more suspicious that this was some sort of scam to get me or all my money what little i have. So i asked for something in writing and was told if I didnt call back in a few hours and pick one of the options that he was signing off on my case and I would be served with my summons. He told me if I dont make my court date then I would be served with a summons in which i could be jailed. JAILED??? I asked for a direct number he told ne just ask for X 215; I askhim where his office was he said in New york but everything would be on my settlement letters. I waited for my email for over an hour. I reviewed it and called paystar the number on the email that was the "client" suing me. Well Well Well....guess who answered the phone at paystar the same snotty girl who asked the same questions! How can I help you? and its an answering service. I hung up on her immediatley. I started doing research on Paystar International and Conway and Phillips. Well I found something revealing they are the same company, but I did even more I called Paystar and got a number for another company called Collect America then I called them and they forwarded me to a USR group, who after I did research on as well got me a United Abstract Group. I called another number 631-421-1307 and guess who picked up? Same lady. So a summary of this is that this place is a scam they use many names to collect on the less fortunate and ignorant. I am smart and I can do my best to help other people out there that are being scammed by these low life loosers. I hope that everyone out there losing all there hard earned moneys are reading this and I can help make one person see that they are either mafia or some organzation trying to bring down the lower and middle class of america. We need change and we need to start by bringing down these people. There is a great website called www.budhibbs.com you will find plenty of information on United Abstract Group and all the other names and complaints they have against them. I am in touch with an attorney who thinks if there is enough of us we could file a class action lawsuit to shut them down. Also immediatley contact the New York State Attoerny Generals office and file a complaint. The more they get the faster we can get them shut down. It says the owner is Anthony Piccone and Barry Calvagna. Again dont believe these people they are great liars, after dealing with these people all day long I can tell you it is a very large scam.

wow, just wow. I can't even say anything except I am glad I didn't call them back tonight when I saw this post I almost fell out of my chair. I'm next in line to file a complaint thanks single lady in florida.

I have contacted the fbi as well and left a message with an agent there, they told me they are already aware of the united abstract group scam and are monitoring there every move so im guessing it wont be long till they are shut down and jailed themself.

How do you contact the FBI, is there an open case already? How would I go about filing the complaint can anyone tell me? I've been under the same situation exactly the way Single Lady In Florida. Please let me know because the woman I've dealt with is calling herself Ms. Conway. Please help if you can tell me more info because I think they just scammed me out of alot of money a few days ago.

I'd like to say this... even if these debts are in fact legitimate debts, keep in mind that the statute of limitations is 4 YEARS from the date of breach (or last payment).  These people are collecting on debts they KNOW they cannot collect on.  The minute you agree verbally to anything, you have basically just screwed yourself and 'renewed' that contract.  The statute runs all over again.  These idiots are liars.  Dont stress on these calls.  I'm still waiting on someone to serve me with a Summons!  cant wait, because i'm about to turn around and sue them back.  They know what they are doing is totally illegal.

Just got a call from these people as well. What a F'n Joke. Called them 3 times and got Ms. Conway twice. Funny how she has a different voice on each call. She got so mad at me she hung up the phone only to say she would see me in court on Monday. Called my local courts and they had no record of anything. Called them back and got some Monkey Guy who said "well she must of miss spoke b/c you have 30 days to appeal". Liar's, that is all that they are. If anyone else gets a call they should post an address for these people so we can put them in jail where they belong.

Just feel bad for the people that actually gave them any money b/c this is the last stop before the debt is off your credit record.

All these people do is lie. There is no Conway & no Phillips. They B.S everybody to get money. Don't let it happen. This is a chop shop. Basically, they have got debt's that go back over 4 years. They buy them for next to nothing. Pennies on the dollar is what they buy them for. F them and their scam.

Don't give these people a cent. You would be better in Jail but that won't happen b/c they lie. No legal action will ever happen if just tell them to "F Off"...

sounds like thats not the same thing as conway and philipps man. That's a collection company and I think they are a legal firm in Huntington from what that lady said. All I know is i'm not calling back.

it is the same thing as conway & philips they change there name all the times.. there is a law suit being filed against them as we speak
