this early morning call was automated, giving a return number and ref # to call. I have not called back yet, this is some sick world we live in.

It was a call from a Mrs. Jefferson, from a debt collection agency, who called me on my cell phone, and wanted me to call her back about some debt  that I hadn't paid.  I have no debts.

Got a call from Mrs. Jefferson too and no idea who she is or who she works for.  I don't even know if the message was intended for me or my Husband as their recording is always cut off.

who is this company, i got a called from NCO....?????  never anything in the mail and i'm not behind in my debts.

This number has called us several times, asking us to call back regarding a debt that has not been paid.  We have no debt that is overdue.

These people have called this # now for about 5 years but we have no outstanding debt. We will answer and immediately hang back up, they generally won't call back the same day

they leave messages all the time, so now my  voice mail box is full no more messages anymore

I CALLED THEM BACK THEY ARE  NCO FINANCIAL SYSTEM  and they tryed to collect on a dept that was settled 6 years ago.I THINK THEY BUY OLD DEPTS, and try to collect.

I just hang up.

Every day when I get home from work, these people have left another message...how can it be stopped!!!

This is NCO they are also under the number 800-709-8625. They have the wrong number. I have no debts. They are trying to reach the person whom had my phone number before me. Also they have an automated dialer, a live person is never there if you pick up. Their message states they NCO a debt collection agency, but they never leave the name of whom they are trying to reach. I receive calls from this company everyday including Saturday. If it was for me I would have received a notice in the mail and had it on my credit report, which has not happened.

If they call and want to collect a debt it means it's affecting your credit because they report it and if you don't get that fixed it could bite you one day. Even if you dont owe they will report you to a credit bureau..Trust me...just go through the hassle of getting it fixed. At least find out who they are trying to reach, cuz if it's you and you ignore it, even if it's not legitimate, it will still hurt you in the long run.

Most people who comment on these '800' boards don't owe anyone, anything.  They are not the debtor individuals being sought by the debt collection hoes. They are innocent family members or friends of the unlucky stiffs being sought by the debt hoes. These dumb 3rd party debt hoes do not care who they bother or who they intimidate. If you don't interact with them, they cannot "affect your credit." DO NOT TALK TO THEM!  You owe them nothing.  You are not an information service.  They are users and will not believe what you say anyway.  1) Get a Uniden phone with 20 number block.  It's the best $59.00 I've ever spent.  2) If nothing else, turn your ringer off and turn your message function off.  3) Report the debt hoe companys to the Federal Trade Commission (NOT the 'do not call' list), and get a case number. This has worked the 2 times I've done it.  The calls stopped.  If you take no action then just continue to complain about unwanted calls...they will not stop.

another "missed call" - recognized their number from the comments above and realized I have talked with them before, told them the person they are looking for does not have this phone number; they said they would note that in their records... but they are calling again.
I'm going to try CHOKEALLTELEMARKETERS suggestion of reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission to see if that will put a stop to it.
