- rcauvinI have received this call several times a week for the past month. The recorded message is the same every time - "Jim Lynch calling about an important matter that requires my immediate attention". It is the only telemarketer call that goes to my mobile phone number. It shows up as "unknown" on my caller ID, but I'm asked to call back at (866) 239-9526.

- AnonymI called them back after hiding my caller ID. Woman answered TCA or CCA I asked what that was- Travis county something. I asked why I should call this number- I did not ask for Jim Lynch. "Is this Arturo?" she said. I said "what?"
"Are you arturo?" "no" "muttered something" - click.
The second time I called, a different woman answered. I tersely asked why I am getting messages to call this number, she said I was breaking up and could not understand me.
The third time I called I asked why I am supposed to call this number. The woman from the first call said "the automated message?" "Why am I calling Jim Lynch?" "You said you are not Arturo, I'll take you off!" - falcon replies to nonamecalled the number, asked what CCA stands for, lady quoted 'Collection Credit of America'. 866-239-9526 hospital and/or doctors collection agency.
- aaaI also get a call from them regarding an important matter. I called back. And they said they are EMS (emergency medical services) at Austin, TX. I told them I did not use ambulance. Then she said her computer need reboot and ask me to call her back. I said I can wait. After a moment, she said her computer has a problem and let me call her back after 30 min. Then nobody answers at all.
Should I call police? - blah| 4 repliesI also get a call from them. Originally, they stated to contact Jim Lynch but now they just say it's an important business matter.
Reviewing the information on my credit report here is the name and address of the company, as well as the phone number.
Company Name: COLLECTION COMPANY OF AMERICA
Address: 700 LONGWATER DRIVE NORWELL, MA 02061
Phone number: (781) 681-4300
I pulled this information from my credit report and I have confirmed that the number provided directs to COLLECTION COMPANY OF AMERICA.
I still need to verify that the (866) 239-9526 is the same company, but I have a feeling that it is.
I'll update when I found out more information.- Call type: Debt collector

Fax: 720-529-9845 - trick daddyIt is a important matter you need to call Jim Lynch. Well Jim Lynch is a director of the collection company of america in Dallas,Tx. When you ask for him the reps will notify you by your number appears on the caller id. And quickly let you know that he is not there. You are in need to pay your bill.(Unless you say this is a new number and they should take it off)They will reverse the call to make your whose number it belongs to. If it belongs to the customer, they will not remove it. If you are the customer never tell them where you work. Because they will bother the hell out of you at work. Then everyone at work will know that you can't pay your bill.
FYI--- Work there before.. - trick daddy| 4 repliesWhen you have a a bill at CCA. Never pay it at the time of harrasment. Wait at least 6 months. Why because it gets cheaper while you wait. The reps will tell you need to pay asap. Push it off as much as you can. After a account gets to old they will give you 50% off. If the reps tells you I can knock off 10% or 15% that means you need to wait. They bought the account from the creditor already it's on your credit bureau. After you pay it, CCA trying to get as much money as they can from you. Did you get a funny feeling that why is the bill so high. One reason is org bill $200 after CCA get it the mark it up another $150 so $350 total. Then you get a 10% discount. Make you feel alot better. YOU GOT SCREWED...
Also it will not come off your credit bureau. (They might send you a letter of Paid in full or Settle in full letter) - Jayto| 1 replyYeah, I keep getting these calls even at midnight! When I answer, they don't talk to me. They'll leave a message and say it is for an important "business matter". I've tried calling them on a landline at work, but they don't answer. Anyone figured out how to block them? The guy said his name was Richard Neilson or something like that.
- ShadowDevHave received same message and number. Will use *67 on return call. Will question their company operations and why they contacted me before giving them any information..... Have spoken with Lauren, I asked the company name and was told 'Health Care Services' and when I asked why I was called she asked me for the number at which the message was left. Before answering I asked the nature of their business of which she said she could not tell me until I gave her the number they reached me at. I said again what the nature of the company was at which she abruptly said 'call back later, thank you' and hung the phone up in my ear. Nice. I called back, she picked up and I said that I didn't appreciate being hung up on like that, she retorted that she didn't appreciate being given the information she asked for, I said 'but you called me? why should I give you any information?' She said (Get this) 'I didn't call you, the computer did'. You hear that?? Wild. I then asked again for the nature of the company. I did not see why I should provide them with the contact number without being given any information whatsoever. She hung up on me again. Bad People. Call the FEDS of them.

- mkHave gotten 3 calls on landline voicemail from matt higgins, obviously a recorded msg as it is exactly the same every time, even stutters a couple of times at the same place every time. My vm msg states that I do not respond to unidentified calls, guess he thinks giving his name identifies his call.
- FORMER EMPLOYERJim Lynch is the director of operation at CCA, formally known as Collection Company of America in Dallas, TX. He records the message on a recorder and he uses a dialer system by Soundbite Communication, that generates all call to debtors who owe money on a debt. There is no "important message". So when you call the reps are told to say Jim is not available, what number did he call then they look up the account and tell you that you owe a bill. By the way they have caller ID. So if you are smart turn off your caller ID. If not you will get hammered with calls. Jim Lynch runs the show and his assistant is Felica Shade. And his boyfriend is a manager that he loves so much is James Thompson. He runs the floor and the reps. I hope this information helps you people.
- upset florida chick| 2 repliesvery upset at the fact that i just pulled my credit report and see these people on it. When i click on the info its of a bill i paid for 5 years ago. apparently it was taken off of one agency but not all of them. anyone know what i can do?
- Caller: collection company of america
- chief| 1 replyI've been getting recorded messages from this number on my home phone. They do not mention my name, only that I urgently need to call them back, but not identifying themselves. We called back on a different line and it was a company named CCA. I assume a collection agency but we have perfect credit so we just hung up. I wonder if they just call every person with my last name in the book? Does anyone else have this problem??
- Caller: CCA
- Call type: Debt collector
- BTz replies to upset florida chickif it was removed from the other bureaus try disputing it with the bureau its still showing up on. alot of times things get left on your credit report because the bureaus are sloppy. if it comes back verified than get proof you paid the bill and send it to the agency and request they fix the reporting error. fcra says they have 30 days to fix reporting errors.
- Anonym| 1 replyI FINALLY HAVE ANSWERS!!!!
Ok folks. I've been researching this ALL DAY. Here's my story. First, let me say that we have NO outstanding bills. I have been getting the automated calls, (for MONTHS) to call back at this #. "Time-sensitive matter...blah blah." Well, the name is not mine. The account is not mine. Same first name, same town but NOT ME!
I have spoken to an actual person 4 times, telling them I am not the person they are looking for, nor do I know her. They always say they will take me off the list, and are VERY rude, and tight lipped about any information I ask for. But they Keep Calling!!! After gathering as much info as I could (from the automated calls telling me reference #'s) I decide the next time they call, I'm going to straighten it out for good. Sure enough, they call back, (they always do...) and I call the darned # and give them the "reference #" they left. I ask the lady who she works for. "CCA." I ask what that stands for. "Nothing," she says. (!!!) She won't tell me. I ask her name, won't tell me. She ends up hanging up on me. This morning I call AT&T a second time. I tell them "CCA" has been hounding me for an outstanding balance that is not mine. I had called to find out if CCA was a scam (one call wouldn't give me a person, it just asked for my CREDIT CARD #!!!) No, AT&T uses them for collections, they are not a scam, and they are called "Collection Company of America." From googling "CCA collections" and clicking on the "Who's calling me" sites, I realize there is a TON of this going on. From MANY different 800/877 numbers. And they are pissing me off. After digging (really deep, they are hard to find...) here is their website.

A quote from their website:
"It's not just collecting debt; it's collecting in a manner that best represents our clients while achieving superior performance levels."
Candice O'Brien, VP of Operations
I am going to write a letter to their CEO, and anyone else who will listen, AND I am going to file a complaint with AT&T. I have been a loyal customer for too long to have them outsource someone to harass me for a debt that isn't mine, and be yelled at, not responded to, and hung up on. I hope you guys do, too.- Caller: CCA (Collection Company of America
