Do you ever get charged by this company? I have no clue why i got charged

I did not get a call from this company, but a charge on my checking/debit card. When I called the number, it is a recorded message saying "the bargain Stop" Never heard of them, and have definitely never bought anything from them.

Same here..random charge popped up on check-card.

NEVER bought anything from them considering I was a whole state away when this charge went through. WHO IS THIS?!

I also received a fraudulent charge on 9 April 2008 for $14.89.  Never heard of the company.  Also not called by the company.

The company has a D rating.  I'm filing a complaint.

I also was randomly charged $14.49 by "The Bargain".  Calling doesn't help- they have a recorded message and don't seem to answer.  I am also filing a fraud complaint.

I also got charged for 14.89 on may 6 2008.  Called them and no answer. need to report them

I also got charged by this Bargain Stop for $13.89.  Put it in dispute with my credit card co.  They say I was at the store and signed a sales slip, have never been there.  Visa is checking further.

Also a victim of this apparent fraud. Never been to any site/store named "The Bargain". Happened two seperate times, once this month and another about a year ago.  Was able to get a hold of them through the number, states that it was an accident and meant to charge a different card.  

Personally don't believe them as this was the second time that happened to myself.  Seems their scheme is to charge a minimal amount of money to your CC in hopes that you won't notice.

my credit card was charged $15.99 by THE BARGAIN Tarzana, Ca on 6/21/08 I have not used this credit card in over 6 months. I am disputing it with visa and getting a new card.

I've received credit card statement and got fraudulent charge by them. It was $14.99.
Never bought from them and I haven't used this credit card.

can we call the police to report this fraud?

Yes, you should file a complaint with your local police department, contact the fraud unit at your bank or credit card and put in a claim with the BBB as stated above.  It worked for me and I got my money back.  They told the BBB that it's not our fault if someone uses a stolen credit card. This person can't even spell. (I live across the country, I still had my card which has since been shredded.)  The bank told me that the store keyed in the number, the card was not swiped.  I don't get why he/they aren't in jail by now.  Look at this blog, it's been happening for years.

Got another charge...this time on the card I was issued after they charged me back in April...When will this end? I mean...what do I need to do to secure my card that much more! I am led to believe that its not as safe as I am being led to believe when using at places like Wal-Mart

I got a charge from them on my credit card as well.  I googled them and found all of your complaints.  I filed a report with the better business bureau.  My charge was for $16.99 and was on my credit/debit card.

happened to 2 of my visa's. I think they are "wardialing" if you will charges, knowing the general format for certain cc's and they just getting lucky.

They never called me, never been there (live 1 state away as well) and their phone line seems fraudulent as well.. No matter the option i choose it always stalls and then disconnects.

I was also randomly charged $15.98 by "The Bargain" on 7/15/2008.  I am surprise that they are still in business and continue to fraudulent charge people.  I have filed a fraud complaint on BBB and also contacted Chase fraud department.

I also noticed an unauthorized charge of %15.98 on my CC.  Reported this also to BB.  Glad to see that others are posting this illegal activity!

Also received a charge of 16.99 from them in 07-31-08.  Filed a complaint with BBB and am calling credit card now to report fraud.  Also left a message on their machine.

This jerk has billed me twice in the last year, both times for amounts under $20.  The card he billed is one that I use solely for recurring charges such as cable service and gym membership and has never been out of a desk drawer, so there's no chance it was swiped anywhere.  I guess he figures most people won't notice such small amounts, but I do!

I received a response through the BBB.  It was the same response as someone else above me, that they don't have control over people and they issued a refund (funny though, they issued a refund when my wife called and got a hold of them and they said that they had entered in the wrong number and credited back our account directly, then when I filed the initial complaint with the BBB, they sent a money order directly to my PO Box...)

I rebuttled their respoce with the following...

"I very much appreciate the refund and I apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused you. Since this seems to indicate that someone else used my credit card number, I am most obliged if you would give me the name of the person who ordered as well as their address and phone number and proof of shipment so that I may report them to local authorities in your area personally and so that this illegal action in your area can stop. This was about a month ago and I am still waiting for a responce.  I will post again if and when a responce comes.
