Called @ 8:15am and again @ 1:15pm. The caller ID shows '800 service' and they left no voice mail.

This is Redline Recovery Services. Debt collector. They buy old debt and try to cash in on it. They may or may not have a legitimate right to collect it. Here is what to send them to determine if they have a legitimate right to collect:

Dear Sirs,

This letter is to inform you that I would like a verification of the debt and your ability to collect this money from me.

Under the FDCPA Section 809, I have the right to request a validation of this debt. I request that you prove that I am indeed the party who is contractually obligated to pay off this debt. Per the FDCPA Section 809, all collections actions shall cease until this request has been answered satisfactorily. Pursuing judgment prior to giving a satisfactory response to this request is grounds for appeal and/or dismissal per precedent set in Spears v. Brennan (2001).

Please respond within 30 days of receipt of this letter and attach copies of the following documents to your response to this request for validation of this debt:
1.    Agreement with your client that authorizes you to collect on this alleged debt.
2.    Agreement that bears signature of the alleged debtor where he promises to pay the original creditor.
3.    Complete payment history on this account, to prove that the amount you wish to collect is accurate.
