- Virginia Ammons replies to BrandiI have tried calling this number and it gives me the fax scream each time it is dialed. Is this a fax machine?
- seamlesslink482448I get a call every day. So answer it or they will do the same thing to you.

- Jonathan madison| 3 repliesFrom the mofos of verison wireless. Called me 6 times in one day, and 17 in a whole week. I have T-Mobile. These [***] are just insane.

- Tim| 5 repliesWhen I got the call it was a scammer pretending to be Verizon. After I asked her question one below - I knew I had a live one (scammer that is) on the line.
Here are the questions I asked the woman before she hung up on me (never got to #9). I was so hurt.
1. Would you email me your message at the email address that is on my account? (they usually say they don't have access to that at this time).
2. I'm sorry but the person you are looking for isn't here right now - can I take a message?
3. Of course I will have them call you back at 866-266-1445 - be happy to, but what is your first name?
4. What is your last name?
5. Where are you calling from?
6. What is your job title?
7. Who do you report to at Verizon?
8. Do you have a private phone number that I can have them call you at? What is the number?
CLICK (this is usually where scammers hang up)
9. What time do you eat dinner at your house?
10. What time do you get up and get your kids ready for school?
11. Do you like getting calls like this? Would you like me to put you on OUR list?
Remember: Do NOT give them any personal info or credit card / account info...- Caller: Verizon
- Call type: Debt collector
- Do Not Call replies to Tim| 1 replyWe keep getting courtesy calls from people reportedly working for verizon... Most of the time they have the wrong number as they are asking for people we have never heard of before. Does this sound like a legit buisness to you? 866-266-1445 and 949-286-3311
- EllieBeen getting these so call courtesy calls from verizon and I know it's a {Scammer}.So what I do is ask them a (?).Can you tell me how much ( JAIL-TIME-A- SCAMMER ) gets? LOL
- Caller: Verizon
- Jaime AcostaRecieved an email that seemed legit because all the links are to verizon's real site, however, the phone number is not Verizon's. The email said I had a balance, but I called Verizon and I have no balance. This is definitely a scam.
- Caller: Not Verizon
- Call type: Debt collector
- VZW replies to Jonathan madison| 1 replyThat means someone gave your number (which probably was someone else's) as a number where they can be reached so all you need to do is call and we will simply remove it.......
- J replies to Tim| 2 repliesI work there and we are not allowed to give out any of that information, most of that is for the customers protection - would you feel safe if I was allowed to just copy down personal information of yours and email it to people? Usually we would stop at number two, and we would give you our first name. Why would you need our last name? I'm not going to give you my personal information. We don't have some kind of list, its because you or someone who has put you down as a contact has not paid their phone bill, simple as that.
- Janie replies to VZWWhy doesn't VZW get a bricks and mortar address and some trained personnel to represent it on the phone???
Maybe, because it can't.
Worst. Phone. Company. In. The. World.
Hello Competition! - Janie replies to JDon't call people if you think the number "might" be a number someone else provided! Get your facts straight. Get an honest job. VZW never read a book about customer service or collections!
People with no last name have no authority to make decisions or fix problems.
This first name stuff started with pre-school teachers (Miss Suzie is our teacher) and it has taken over the world.
Make up a last name if you're too chicken to take responsibility for your own words, but show some pride for crying out loud. (Company policy? You gotta have both a company and a training program to use that excuse.)
Worst. Phone. Company. In. the. world: VZE - DCJS-11-5067 Richmond, VA.Verizon's lost it's contract at P.O. Box 15062, Albany, N.Y. 11212-5062
Many payments made to that p.o. box were made and applied to the balance of people's bills instead of credited. Can you please send the U.S. DOJ's up to settle this matter. The contract was posted on the internet and it looks like someone was fundraising for a political candidate from the contributions they have taken. Thank You.- Caller: Unknown Verizon's broker
- oldae| 1 replyHere's a copy of an e-mail that was in my service provider's junk mail inbox. It refers to the phone number in this thread. My address does not appear, but I received the e-mail anyway. I do not have a Verizon account of any kind. The IP address, 213.24.82.148, is from the Russian Federation. 89.161.23.53 is from Poland.

- notanidiot replies to oldaeGot the same message, same way! Do they think we are stupid? The email stated that we owed over $1000 in payments. I guess it is getting close to Christmas and these people are desperate. We do not have an account with Verizon. It's so sad how these people waste their precious time on this earth to try to deceive people. Sad for them.
- Christine L DiNardoI have been getting 5 calls a day from this number regarding someone else phone number. I have never had Verizon service. I am an AT&T customer.

- BmoreRetPolLadyThis is a spammer, when I point to the link in the email, it has too much (too many other none identifying characters. If you go back to a legit Verizon email you will notice the link is just that without all the extra characters. Whatever you do do not click on any of the links in the email! They said they're Verizon Wireless but I beg to differ! Another thing the phone uses 866 and most legit Verizon contact numbers are 800 (IJS)!
- Caller: Verizon
- DmitriI recieved an email with the 866 number embedded in the following message: I've redacted my real first name in the interest of privacy. Ironic that I had just paid my bill when this message landed in my inbox.

If I were Verizon, I would want to track down the scammers who are using the company's logo and other company proprietary info. Not to mention it seems they have hacked into Verizon Wireless' financial servers.- Caller: verizon
