had some money witdrew from my checking account with this number on the "check".  will be calling the bank tomorrow

I had the same situation  (I am in SC) happen to my account on Friday 8/20/.  The bank gave me a copy of the draft ----from Goodman Brothers.  866-273-4979.
Total scam---this number is an answering service set up to issue refunds and give no other advice/information. ...other than a fax number.
I did find out that this fee is from some website service and uses Goodman Brothers as payment processors.    Of course, Goodman Brothers has no numbers or connections with this website service.  In fact all numbers given to me to contact this website service are all looped back to the same 866-273-4979

They also use the name Goodman Group with phone #866-273-4932.  If the routing # on the back of the check is 062000019, your money went to Regions Bank in Hoover Alabama.   If the routing number is different, go to http://www.fededirectory.frb.org/search.cfm to find the bank and location.  Please contact the receiving bank to report fraud.  You should also file a complaint @ www.ic3.gov (FBI link).

Hey, same thing happened to me.  Withdrew 26.95 on 8/23.  I called my bank and got a ref# along with the 866-273-4979 number.  When I called this number the lady asked me if my address was in Santa Rosa.  She wouldn't give me information on what was purchased, or from what on-line company, but she did give me the Santa Rosa address used to make the purchase.

I sure hope you didn't give them your correct address.  The "Goodman Group / Goodman Brothers" are the outfit running the scam.  They have been able to obtain information on a lot of peoples accounts but the information has so far been limited to names, routing and account numbers.  You might want to check out the post on this web site for #866-273-4932 - same people.  You should immediately close your account.  There are numerous links on the other post to report this fraud.

Found out this morning that 39.95 was withdrawm from my checking and posted on my account 8/24.  I was fuming too!  I called the number on the check and they assured me the money would be put back within 3-5 business days, they were located in Henderson Nevada and did say something about it being a payment for a website and something about PayPal.  My husband doesn't have PayPal.  I had to close my checking account and open another one because these transactions are repetitive my bank said.

Please take the time to report this fraud to your local FBI office and the IC3, there is no telling how many other victims of the Goodman Group or Goodman Brothers is out there.  I've already contacted PayPal's fraud and security division to report this as well (they were very interested!)

We got hit today..I check my account everyday..2x a day..good think the  bank put a stop on it..will need to change accounts and watch closely..this is an all day job!  Creeps!  Beware all!

Also hit me for $26.95 on Aug 24th. They have my name, routing, and account right but the address is of someone else. Calling bank in the morning...Bank only handles credit card issues 24 hrs.

Hit my account for $26.95 today and the copy of the check shows my name with an address in Post, TX.  I did not authorize this.  Withdrew from my account as of 8/25.  I am calling the bank as soon as they open.

Yeah, I had $35.95 withdrawn from my account today.  The customer service number is busy.  I have no idea how they got my info.

I have no idea how these people got my information, but they withdrew $26.95 from an account that I do not use regularly, causing it to overdraw.  I have contacted my bank and the FBI, and have closed the account, but I am still very confused as to how these people accessed me in the first place!

Goodman Group Scam got me as well.  I read a post from 866-273-4932, another Goodman number,  and there was mention about an email hack that happened to me as well.  A while back, I received several emails from a person in my address book with a link which I clicked on.  The website was a prescription drug site.  I called this person and they had no knowlege of sending me the emails.  Maybe this is the hackers site.

we got scammed, too.  my husband thinks it may have stemmed from applying for a job at careerbuilder.com.  $26.95 deducted from our checking today!!! the bank is helping us out.

Any of you play on line poker?  I did a deposit with full tilt about a week ago and then this goodman group shows up with a withdrawal from my account.

Not I, maybe we do have a common creditor who has leaked our information.  The Goodman Group scam appears to be Nationwide.  I also reported to the FBI.

We got taken too for $26.95. Cancelling accounts and have filed an FBI complaint. Knowing that we have only used our routing number on a couple things electronically, I'm assuming it's a data leak somewhere. It may be worth while to post some high-level account names that we all share, such as Mortgage Company names, Auto Loan company names, etc. We may find a pattern as we work through this... just a thought.
