- scl| 1 replyWanted info. about a credit card
- jh| 1 replyThis was actually my credit union fraud dept making sure card charges were valid.
- Call type: Unwanted
- RW replies to jhI received three calls, checked the telephone number and confirmed it was from my credit union. In brief, someone in California was trying to use my Visa number to make purchases at a Target. Two charges were approved, but Visa was able to block my card number from future purchases until I can get into my bank Monday morning.
- David| 2 repliesTotal scam. I called my credit card number and they had no record of this number in the fraud dept.
- JakeI answered but they didn't respond.

- barbjFour hangup calls in one day from this number. I called and it's Delta Comm Credit Union, and I don't even have an account and never heard of them! I think it's some scam artist spoofing caller ID's to make it look like the calls are from this credit union. They're calling my unlisted home phone which I only use for Internet so it never gets picked up and they refuse to leave a message. I called the number and the credit union had no record of calling me.
- Caller: scam
- LouSame company called my son's cell phone number four times. When I called back, I assured them that I never heard of Delta Community Credity Union let alone an account that could be in jeopardy. I asked at least times to speak with a manager (I never spoke to a manager) about removing his number, I would just be put on hold. Finally, when she came back on the line, I was told she couldn't and wouldn't help me any further. Sounds like a bunch of scammers to me!
- Caller: Delta Community Credit Union / VISA Fraud Prevention Services
- cbI called back and received a message that the number was for Visa fraud dept on behalf of Delta Community Credit Union. I DO have a DECU account so I called them directly. They were investigating a suspicious charge to my card....fraud prevented...thank goodness!
- Caller: Visa fraud dept for Delta credit union
- jelI got four calls today from this number, none of which I picked up. Then I looked here to see the number as purportedly being from the Delta Community Credit Union, which I belong to. So I called them up ---- and they had no record of any issues with my card, nor of calls made to my number recently
So, it appears some scammer is spoofing Delta's card fraud unit.
Here's the key thing: if Delta has a question about card use, they always leave a message with a case number. None of the calls made to me left messages.
So....beware of legitimate numbers being spoofed to get your info!
And DEATH to such scammers!!!- Caller: Unknown
- TiaI attempted to renew my amc stubs reward card online and the transaction was declined. Within ten minutes I received a call from this number and it was the bank trying to verify that it was actually me trying to use the card. It is delta community credit unions falcon fraud squad
- Caller: Delta community credit union
- ShaneThey try and get you to give them personal information claiming to be the fraud unit of Delta Credit Union. I did NOT give them any information. Hung up and called Delta CU directly from the # i have for them. The agent told me that Delta would NOT EVER ask for the info these scammers were asking for! This is a very sophisticated scam. DO NOT give them any information!!!
- miffyTOTAL BS!@#$ I called back and first line was CONGRATULATIONS YOU WON a trip to the Bahamas. So all the fraudsters who say this is real-don't believe 'em.
- David PorterActually, this call was legitimate. I'm a Delta Community Credit Union member with a DCCU VISA card. I made an online purchase last night for bus tickets in the UK in November. It was a small amount...$60 but since it was unusual, the DCCU Fraud service called to verify. They called both my cell phone and my home phone. Spammers rarely have both numbers. This has happened several times in the past, particularly for online purchases. I can assure you that if you don't respond you'll find your VISA card frozen in a day or so until you contact DCCU personally. The fraud prevention service is a separate business from DCCU and their activities are not directly visible to DCCU clerks.
- Caller: Fraud services.
- gmdMine was legit. I was given a case number and last four of my biz card numbers. I had made a large purchase on Visa and they were verifying it was correct and card had not been stolen. My Visa account is with Delta Community Credit Union and this call was Visa fraud prevention. After verifying some info, but not info that would give away too much to a scammer they identified how much I had charged the day before and the store, all legit.
- Patty LThis was legit - from Delta Community CU - they blocked fraudulent charges to my card even though I didn't answer their calls.
- DaleI keep receiving calls from this number and have asked them to stop. one day they repeatly called me 8 times. I have asked them to take my name off of their caller list and they tell me that it takes 30 to 45 days for this to happen.. they identified themselves as some type of google office security.
- Caller: Google office security
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Mrs. MThis was a valid call from my bank validating if charges from my credit card were from me or not. A charge was attempted on my card that was definitely not mine. They froze my card.
- Caller: Fraud Services
- buyhawkeye.comIt's legit. Go to the Delta Credit Union website and search for fraud. The number is listed under the FAQ labeled "What to do if Visa Fraud Prevention Services calls you or blocks your card"
- Caller: Delta Credit Union
- PhillipCall was legitimate, investigating a charge on my Delta community credit Union Visa card. It was a charge I had made but I appreciate them checking!
- Caller: Visa Fraud Protection
- David H.This is from the DCCU Credit Fraud unit. It is a legitimate call and they wanted me to verify a transaction. They'd left a case # on my voice mail. I used the call-back feature on my cell phone and the number 866 273 9888 got me immediately to the security system. I entered the case number and some personal verification information and they reviewed a transaction I'd made yesterday including the time, amount and type of vendor...in this case a prescription-by-mail vendor my insurance company uses. It was a legitimate transaction so I OK'd it. I'd gotten a similar call about 6 months ago about a transaction I hadn't made. I declined it and the system immediately put my account on suspension. I drove over to the credit union and discussed it. They blocked the transaction, reported it to the authorities and issued me a new card and account number on the spot.
