I called the number back and it is a collection for GE Money Bank and representative for a credit card called "Care Credit" credit card. Mainly used for Dental bills.

I have received about 50 calls from this auto calling and it is a recording.  Everytime I answer, it hangs up.  I contacted someone on Sat. and told them I did not have an account with this company and wanted all calls stopped!

The next day, still received several phone calls.  This was on Sunday, I called back and told them to STOP THE REPEATED PHONE CALLS AGAIN!  I was told they would.

Monday, still receiving phone call after phone call, some are within minutes of each other, but usually at least within one hour, beginning at 9:30 AM.  He assured me it would stop.

The next day, same thing, I received about 6 calls and it is 2:00.  I called again, furious!  I was told to call another number from someone named Steve Austin (I'm sure that was his name alright).  I told them I was getting very frustrated and wanted to speak to someone who could DO SOMETHING!  He told me to call 1-800-333-1071 and said they could help.

I was on hold for about 20 minutes, then had someone who stated the number was not in file.  I told them that I was told it was not on file yesterday, but I'm still receiving phone calls and that I wanted to speak to management.  Keven Smith or Smet, told me he could not transfer me to anyone due to not having an account.  I could not believe this!  I asked for a mailing address to send a written complaint.  

Even as I'm typing this, I received another call!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  I'm calling this total 100% harrassment!  Any attorneys want to take this case, contact me!

I have an account with GE Money Bank so I should expect these calls.  My problem is not that they are calling but that they call CONSISTENTLY. THey call at 7:00 on a Saturday Morning, 10:00 on a friday night.  I have received sometimes THREE calls a day and when I answer there is nobody there. If they are going to call me 3 times a day they sure as heck better say something when I pick up.  Out of the 8-10 calls i have received this weekend - only one was not dead on the other end and it told me to "hit any key to continue" - I am certainly not going to blindly push a key that could, for all i know, mean i am accepting some absurd charge from an unknown company.  They do not disclose what company they are.  WIth all the phone scams right now, it simply isn't smart. If this company thinks this is a professional way to inform you of defaulting on a payment or whatever they call you for, they are sadly mistaken.  Not to mention I haven't received a paper statement from them in months.  where is their professionalism?

You just have to ignore, ignore, and ignore again. That's all anyone can do. I get a lot less of these "phony" (pardon the expression) calls than I used to. It seems the more aggressive YOU are, the more they are too. Pretty crazy stuff. It makes you wonder what they get out of this kind of obsessive calling.

Unfortunately,  I had a loss of income and can't pay a bill. For me,  this number is calling me from "Results Weight Loss Center" which uses GE Money Bank. I am in dispute with this bill. The Center kind of pushed me into signing, after they pump you up... and don't make it clear that the zero interest is only if you pay off the balance before the time you signed up for. I was just told it was zero interest... and could pay $15.00 a month. After a couple of months,  they payment jumped to over $37.00 minimum payment. The Center couldn't wait till I got my stimulus package so I woildn't get into debt; it was to come in a week. They just wanted to get me into debt. And now they have others to hares me. This is my only debt I have. At least...thanks to y'all....I know now who it is.... I will just scan my calls. I'm on the do not call list, does this include bill collectors?

GE Money....computer voice,..I don't have an account with them. Calls my cell phone a few times EVERY DAY.

Contant calls, all day long, starting at 8am (EST) and adding up to 8 to 10 a day; even on Sundays. It doesn't matter if you actually get to speak with someone or not, they still continue to call.

It is very ANNOYING!

I agree with you. No professionalism! I entered into an agreement with Care Credit for some elective surgery. The plan states that no interest will be charged for 1 year, provided monthly min. payments are being made and the account is paid in full by the end of the promotional period. I have been making payments double the amount of the monthly payment due. I intend to pay off before due date. NEVERTHELESS, this 1-866-274-0239 mumber calls me almost daily on an automated system as early as 7am. It took some detective work to find out in whose name this tel.# was registered. When I answer, a recording addresses me by name, requesting that I press any number. Like you, I haven't received any paper statements other than those for the first two mos. in June/July. It is now December. I will urge my doctor not to recommend this co. to their patients any more.

Had three calls in 20 minutes today. It happens several times a month. When I tell them I want them to stop calling they tell me okay, then I get another call 20 min later. Also, not one person there speaks English as their first language! The last one told me his name was Andy and he was in Ohio...funny, I didn't think Ohioans spoke with Indian accents with others in the background speaking Indian as well! This company preys on people and should NEVER be used for ANY reason! Has anyone reported them to the BBB yet?

Calls all day long and there is no one there.  I called back and it's an Indian guy who answers GE Money Bank and wants my account number.  Right, let me just give that information to you.  SO annoying!

Let's give them a taste of their own medicine. Everybody call them back and just don't say anything. Do it multiple times each day and call their different phone numbers. I have a list of 10 of them. If everybody does this then they should get plenty busy wondering who is calling them. Here are some numbers you can call. They are all GE Money:

uhh dont look for excuses for not paying a debt. cant stand when people look to justify not paying a debt with a sob story... no one cares, your obviously convincing yourself that its ok to disreguard your creditor by laying this B.S on the rest of us, "yeah ill just scan my calls" what right do you have to do that??? you signed a contract and ran away from the debt. No such thing as peer pressure when your an adult. Pay the gym that gave you access to their facilities in return for your money otherwise your just as bad as everyone else doing the same thing.

I just want to know who to report them to for calling before 0800???  Does anyone know?

1-866-274-0239 is apparently GE Money Bank. I really don't know what they want. They immediately ask for personal info before they even tell you what the call is regarding. I refuse to give personal information to anyone that I don't know calling my house. I have no account with this company and I have no outstanding debt. From what I understand this is some sort of billing agency. There seems to be no way to get someone on the line to talk to to get the calls to stop. They keep calling several times a day...sometimes 2 or 3 times an hour. I have an infant taking naps during the day and they keep waking him up. I want the calls to stop, but I don't know what to do. Very frustrating.

Sounds like you, too, have a sob story, whining about everyone that has problems paying their bills....maybe you are a little more fortunate than others, so save your sanctimonious BS and tell it running.

This number calls our house 6 or 7 times a day, every day even on weekends...I wish I could block the number! It drives us crazy. When you hold on the line it disconnects. We do not owe this company any debt, but I read online it is often a debt collection agency for dental companies? Some kind of GE company.

I get this call all the time, it wastes valuable cell phone time. How did you stop it?
