Received a call.

a recording that says "Please any key you continue." When you do, it hangs up 1-866-274-0239

I called the number back and it is a collection for GE Money Bank and representative for a credit card called "Care Credit" credit card. Mainly used for Dental bills.

I have received about 50 calls from this auto calling and it is a recording.  Everytime I answer, it hangs up.  I contacted someone on Sat. and told them I did not have an account with this company and wanted all calls stopped!

The next day, still received several phone calls.  This was on Sunday, I called back and told them to STOP THE REPEATED PHONE CALLS AGAIN!  I was told they would.

Monday, still receiving phone call after phone call, some are within minutes of each other, but usually at least within one hour, beginning at 9:30 AM.  He assured me it would stop.

The next day, same thing, I received about 6 calls and it is 2:00.  I called again, furious!  I was told to call another number from someone named Steve Austin (I'm sure that was his name alright).  I told them I was getting very frustrated and wanted to speak to someone who could DO SOMETHING!  He told me to call 1-800-333-1071 and said they could help.

I was on hold for about 20 minutes, then had someone who stated the number was not in file.  I told them that I was told it was not on file yesterday, but I'm still receiving phone calls and that I wanted to speak to management.  Keven Smith or Smet, told me he could not transfer me to anyone due to not having an account.  I could not believe this!  I asked for a mailing address to send a written complaint.  

Even as I'm typing this, I received another call!  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!  I'm calling this total 100% harrassment!  Any attorneys want to take this case, contact me!

I have an account with GE Money Bank so I should expect these calls.  My problem is not that they are calling but that they call CONSISTENTLY. THey call at 7:00 on a Saturday Morning, 10:00 on a friday night.  I have received sometimes THREE calls a day and when I answer there is nobody there. If they are going to call me 3 times a day they sure as heck better say something when I pick up.  Out of the 8-10 calls i have received this weekend - only one was not dead on the other end and it told me to "hit any key to continue" - I am certainly not going to blindly push a key that could, for all i know, mean i am accepting some absurd charge from an unknown company.  They do not disclose what company they are.  WIth all the phone scams right now, it simply isn't smart. If this company thinks this is a professional way to inform you of defaulting on a payment or whatever they call you for, they are sadly mistaken.  Not to mention I haven't received a paper statement from them in months.  where is their professionalism?
