LEAVE ME ALONE ditto!  

This is extremely underhanded. They sell Allstate Motor Club car insurance but do not represent themselves over the phone in an honest manner.  When I first answered the phone, they did identify themselves as Allstate Insurance (which we have) but when I asked if this was a customer service call or a solicitation call, she stated "customer service" and started spewing some talk about lower RATES for car insurance which really irritated me.  I told her we were on the Do not call list and she said, "Well, let me add you to the Do not call" which means that because we recently signed up with Allstate they've in all likelihood taken our information and have sold it to this third party direct marketer.  I am angry because this direct marketer has in all likelihood sold this information to another third party because I was informed over the phone today that it would take 30 days for my donotcall to take affect.  Thanks, Allstate, for selling our information to other people without permission.  I can't prove this except for the fact that I am now waiting for DO NOT CALL to be affective with companies all over again.  I am lodging a complaint now with the Federal Trade Commission.  The solicitations need to STOP NOW!  The company gives this number as well to contact Allstate Motor Club customer service:  1-800-516-2911  I am afraid that they may have signed us up for stuff that we didn't ask for and it scares me.

Received a call from this number today and when I answered it there was no one there.  I also have been on the do not call list for years.  I don't appreciate these calls and if someone answers they will get an earfull.
