Got an automated message on my cell saying they were "in my neighborhood install home security systems." Why would they be in my neighborhood? This is a cell phone!

Called..left no message

Called at 10am. Left no message. Telemarketer.

I called them back on a blocked line to see who they were.  The recording did not address who they were, but did offer a person to set up an appointment, that person answered identifying he works for Home Security Network.  When I said I wanted to be removed from their list (wasn't so nice) he said I didn't need to cuss him (I said "your damn list").  When I said I had a problem with them using the phone I pay for for their greed, he responded "not greed" but "my advantage"?  A free home evaluation?  Not interested, so we are back to HIS GREED.  I have only had this cell phone for a week and have only made calls to family, so they obviously skipped over the part about checking the Do Not Call list.  American, the land of the great has become America in it's downward spiral with greed eroding honesty, ethics, and integrity; and a congress that does not care about the mess.  One of these days their hefty bank accounts will not matter and it will be too late for them to fix what they created.  Any hopeful-presidents willing to address possibly the biggest thing wrong with America?

FYI....when you call a "TollFree" number your number IS NOT BLOCKED!
So when you called them back, they got your number.Read up on this a little....
For what it's worth, calling a areacode 866/877/888/800 number WILL SHOW WHERE YOU ARE CALLING FROM!!!!

Called and said they'd be in my neighborhood... uh, excuse me? You people don't know where I live; my phone number is an unlisted, non-contract cell that isn't associated with any physical address... Stupid Telemarketers!

automated call, female recording saying "we will be in your neighborhood....".  "press 1".  I didn't respond.  Call hung up.  I called back.  Same recording.  I pressed "1".  Male answered asked if I was interested in an alarm service.  I said "yes".  He asked if I owned or rented.  I said "rented."  He said service was only for those who owned their home and my number was "incorrectly referred to them" and would be taken off the list.

The call is automatic in a suspicious way. Sounds like some scam .. it's best to discard and ignore it.

Just another dumb telemarketer, waisting people time.

This company has the balls to call any phone number - got it on my personal line at work!

Illegal solicitation to cell phone -- caller lied and said ftc allows this 'as of 2009.' Also lied and said my number was "referred."

Called my cell phone. I didn't answer and left no message. The world is full of [***] telemarketing and because the world is also full of [***] people falling for the gimmicks, instead of saying no, the prosper and keep annoying us.

Nation-wide promotional offer, buddy.  Doesn't matter where you live.  Why don't you inquire further before going off on a tangent against the entire situation.  Make an educated complaint instead of a 100% uneducated one.  Makes sense, right?

Wow - another assumption.  What is up with people assuming?  That's very un-American, don't you think?  This is quasi-slander without the correct information to back it!

Great sales technique...insult the customer. That should work fine.

Just calling it like I see it partner. These guys helped me secure my home, not sure what all the bad-mouthing is all about.
