    Joanne Dunn called from "Credit Solutions" and spoke to one of my co-workers. She told her that there is a warrant pending for me.   This is crazy!!!!  There was another phone number that popped up instead of the number she gave my co-worker...404 671 3035.

    I too am receiving messages from Joanna Dunn telling me i better comply.  They refuse to send any thing in writing, they also refuse to give me an address of the place of business.  she is claiming to be an officer of the court but refuses to share her contact info, what a crock!  I really wish we had a better way to retaliate to this kind of stuff.  I have filed so many reports with the FTC and my Attorney General they know me by name!

    Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

    The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

    is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
    refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
    asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
    exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

    If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
    Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
    If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

    Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

    Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft – charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

    Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate – but you think the collector may not be – contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

    Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

    These people call constantly, from different phone numbers, some even local. At my job. I owe NOTHING. Once they left a message on the voice mail (on a Friday) that a complaint had been lodged against me and my lawyer had 24 hours to call them. So, this morning, when they called, I informed them that employees are not allowed phone calls at work, contact her at home, the chick asked if I had that number!!!! I couldn't control my giggling as I informed her that I am not allowed to give out employee information and if this was a LEGIT company that has her information (like they keep saying) they would HAVE all the information they needed without harrassing me. DUH!!

    I to have had a run in with this company. I Must Admit they are not very nice people. not sure if they do have the ability to have you arrested, but your wages garnished for sure. In my case i am loosing 25% of my income because of and old truck i had in 2011 they threatened to take me to jail but i knew better. It wasnt until I rec a notice from clark county sheriffs office that they where seeking a judgement against me that i knew this was real. Im not sure about the jail thing but they can most definitely seek a judgement... pay your bill....if you owe it!

    I have a letter where I paid off ACE Cash Express over 4 years ago, dated April 2010.  The final payments were made to Delanor, Kemp and Associates.  If you contact ACE Cash Express or the corporate office, they will tell you the account has been settled.  I repeatedly get calls from people trying to collect on this debt threatening fraud, theft, judgments, etc.  I am SO tired of it.  The latest call today was from a Mr. McKinnon at Credit Solutions at 1-866-286-3206 extension 7767.  File #5713.  Can you please help me get this resolved so the harassing calls will cease?   Thank you in advance.

    These are scams at some point you inquired or applied for something or they obtained your information from your credit report. They will call from several different numbers over and over again with different company names claiming you owe for a payday loan, check fraud etc. They call me and say I took a loan out in 2010 with a bank account and job information that hasn't been valid since 2008. The always get rude if you try disputing or asking questions and they will never send anything in writing. You can report them to the FTC the only problem is that they can't even track them down because there are so many different people doing it. i have now started getting messages about my taxes. Just ignore them and under no circumstances confirm any of your personal information!

    This is a scam collection agency. Report them to the FTC if you get a call from them. I don't know where they got my name and number, but I do know I never took out the loan they said. Very rude people also!

    I got a call from 866-286-3206 at my job today a Mr. Mc Kinnon claimed I had a loan from I believe he said My cash Now. That Company is not a lender, It's a loan search match for pay day loans. Of course I have never had loan from them. He then said that he was representing a company that wanted to send the police out to my job to arrest me for fraud or theft. I know that collections does not work that way. They had allot of my information, including my ssn. After I hung up on the guy. He actually called my work back and told them the same story and tried to get them to confirm my ssn. Next time they call we are going to try and get a physical address for the company. From what I can gather from some research Credit Solutions LLC Diversified Management Is the company making the call. http://www.creditsolutionsatlanta.com/ that is a link to their site I think. I'm never going to give them any money. They will have to show me proof on any debt. Which they can't because I did not take a loan.
