This number called at 12:07PM Saturday, June 9th 2007.  No one answered.  Note: They called a business.  I hadn't checked the call log for previous days at the store (I had the week off) and this number also called on: 6/8/07 3:18PM  and  6/6/07 6:41pm.  I called the number back, it is DISCOVER card looking for one of the owners. I just asked politely to be removed from the list because this is a business and told her that whenever we were called there was no answer. She claimed that you had to wait a while for an operator, but I didn't want to argue (I previously kept saying, Hello hello over again for about seven or so seconds when they called earlier). Said it would take up to 30 days to have our business removed from their call list.

Mystery call. No tone or answer upon callback. Whomever uses this number should be prosecuted.

Mystery call indeed.  This 866 # call the business and lucky for me the business phones have caller ID.  I did'nt answer because mostly all 866 #'s are telemarketers. I called back and there was no answer it only rang and rang but no pick up or voice mail. Hmmm very shady...

Called and asked for Director by name, asked if they wished to speak to her they said yes, when Director picked up phone call had been hung up

Called and asked for person by name. The sound in the background sounded like a boiler room. They didn't identify themselves so I didn't acknowledge if they'd reached the correct number. Told them they had a wrong number. They said, "sorry," and hung up. Sounds like a collection agency.

I recieved this on a back up 911 line at the police dept I work for. We could not even trace the origins, do not give any information to these people as it may be an out of country scam.

Called and no one was there when i answered then the system hung up. I callrd them back and spoke with one of the nicer reps. I have to say this is
one of the nicest telemarketers I have spoke with. I Asked him to our business on their do not call list. Lets see if it worked.

Calls 2-3 times a day.  I finally got a response when I re-dialed.  It was DISCOVER.  I asked to be put on their no-call list.  They agreed, and also agreed to provide me with their no solicitation policy.  Hope this helps.

This number calls constantly, but leaves no message and cannot be called back

Person kept asking for a specific employee disregarding my questions of what they were calling about what company they represented. Only thing the person said was it was in regards to a financial situation.

They called me after business hours to give me a business discover card with no interest until 2009.  Little fishy, yes.  Why call after hours? And I'm on the do not call list.

Called our business and asked for a specific individual.  I asked hwo it was and they their name was "Phillip Morrison"  When i gave the phone to the individual they asked for...they hung up.  I called back and they claimed they were from discover.

Called asking for "the owner of the company".  Stated they were offering a Discover business credit card.  JUNK!

they call after hours and I have recieved about 10 calls from this number, and I just called the number back and they lady said something about a Discover business card, and I said dont call again put me on your do not call list, and she said okay one moment while I go get a piece of paper to right your number down and then put me on hold and then she hung up.

call at 6:35 pm (pst)with nothing but silence on other end.

Discover is at it again in 08!  It seems Discover did not make a New Years resolution to stop annoying hard working business owners.  I do not know why the marketing people at Discover think that telemarketing is an effective way to generate sales and enhances the brand.  

I really love when a telemarketer clogs my phone line while a legitimate customer's call at the same time to my business pushes that call into voice mail.  

Discover is a pain in the ass!

Discover card services.  I said i am the financial decision maker, please don't call back.  They read a 1 minute disclosure on DMCA, etc, and sounded like they would actually stop calling soon.

Yep, it's Discover.  The guy wanted to speak to the decision maker, I politely asked what this was in regards to and the guy said, a financial decision for the business! What a complete jerk I said please do not call back again.  I called back and had them remove my name from their list.  You people might want to do the same thing.  I have a Discover account and am ready to cancel because of their rude telemarketers that can't get a college education and have to be jerks to make commission.

They call me 10 times a day.  They should be prosecuted.
