These people would call my house everyday, stating they were "Wells Fargo Home Mortgage Company" and needed to talk with me.  I do no have a Wells Fargo account, so I just ignored it.  But they KEPT CALLING.  

So, I called them back and asked them to stop calling.  I verified my name with the woman who stated there must have been a wrong number and took me off the list.  I have not recieved a call since.  As long as you really don't have an account with them, they probably just have the wrong number listed for someone.  Call and they will remove you.

This number is Well's Fargo Collections.  If you are receiving these relentless calls, and you do not have a loan with them, then you will have to call the number to get it stopped.  When you do, the automated system will ask for your SS number or loan number.  If you are like me, you do not want to give your SS number out.  If you hit 0 wait for the message to repeat, hit 0 again, and keep doing that about 3 or 4 times, it will then send you to a PERSON!!!! They will then remove your number immediately.

I waited over two years, they will never stop on their own.

Employee Lila EN2 said she was with Wells Fargo home mortgage. We did what the message hey said about pressing zero several times. We kept pressing 0. They have 6 different locations and they are in WI where she was calling me from, but we said we needed to send them a check po box 51965 Los Angeles CA 90051-6265. We asked should we send it to anyone's attn? She said no, just make sure you put your loan number on it.

I keep getting phone calls from 866-292-3933. I get calls just about every day. Sometimes, several times a day. The company claims to be Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. They ask me for my loan # and Social #. I refused to give the info. I contacted the actual Wells Fargo via email - with whom I do have a loan - listed the number and asked them to verify whether this was them or not. They told me that they were not familiar with the number, and they do not ask to verify personal info over the phone in such a way. Therefore, I want to report 866-292-3933 as fraudulent.

Received a call from them but I don't trust they are actually Wells Fargo. I do have a Wells Fargo mortgage but it's current and never has been paid late. I called the Wells Fargo number on my mortgage statement and they said there is no record in their system I was contacted by them and that all of my payments to date were properly credited.

So it doesn't seem legitimate to me. They SAY they are Wells Fargo but I'm not so sure...

They left a message with a number to call back about my mortgage loan.  I don't have one, but wanted to make sure that there was no identity theft involved.  When I called, a message that sounded very professional asked me to provide the last 4 digits of my SS#, then either my loan number or full SS#.  I almost gave my SS#--in fact, I hung up after entering the 1st 3 digits and decided to call back to speak to someone in person.  When I didn't choose either entry possibility, the program hung up on me.  Looks like a scam to get your SS#

Just got a call from "Wells Fargo Mortgage" wanting to "confirm my address and personal information. The caller's name was Latasha. I told her I am on the Indiana No-Call list and since I do not have an acct with Wells Fargo, They were in violation. I then asked for a supervisor and she disconnected me.

I received a call from this # yesterday. It was a recording from Wells Fargo. I was sceptical so went to Wells Fargo's main website and called thier customer service and asked the rep. if it was a lagit #. She verified it was. They had phoned a courtesy call regarding payment on my account. Knowing my situation with my payment, it made sense. Their system had not updated to show my payment before they sent the automated call. Perhaps this is a generic # they use to send automated calls and every so often change the recording explaing why people receive a different message from the same #. In my case, this was a lagit situation.

It's Wells Fargo Mortgage Company, they have been calling if your payment is not received in their office by the 5th of the month. I have 15 grace period days on my mortgage note but it doesn't matter. With the economy and all of the Foreclosures, all Mortgage Companies and/or Banks want to make sure they get their payments on time. Hope this helps ya!!

I get a call from this number almost every day. It is a recording saying "please call wells fargo home mortgage". I have never called it because i do not have a wells fargo account, but it was very annoying to me! I called the 1800 number on wells fargo's real website to ask them if this number is legit. They told me that it is in no way associated with wellsfargo and that it is fraud. Do not answer! Do not call back!

I have been receiving the same calls from this number.  They have called the main headquarters looking for me saying they needed job verification information.  They have also been calling all the previous places that i used to work at.  recently i have just gotten a new phone in a new place that i have only been in for 5 months.  somehow they have gotten a whole of that number.  The first time that i called the number to see who it was that was calling me the person refuse to give me any specifics about their company.  He had me on hold so long until i just hung up.  I think this all started when i started looking into companies when i was considering debt consolidation.  My information was probably sold to 2nd and 3rd parties for a fee.

I called the number on my bills and they verified this number as legit. It was because my last payment had not posted yet. I asked the person about it, they said its an automatic phone call the computer does if your account doesnt show the payment being recieved. It was easily solved.

I have been a customer of Wells Fargo for over 5 years. I have never paid a payment past the grace period date. I told them when the loan was set up that my check comes for the government on the 3rd. What do they do, set it for the 1st. So every month, when they do not get the payment right on the 1st, they call me every day for a week. I pay by bill pay on the internet through my bank on the 3rd. Can't get it to them any faster than that.

Rude lady told me that I have to make my payments on the 1st. Told her to go suck an Easter egg today. The payment was made 5 days ago and gave her the confirmation number. Told her next time they keep calling and not leaving a messages, I would call the police and file harassment charges.

This is a major league scam! Don't fall for it!

I get tired of all these 866 numbers calling me so I decided to answer and see if I could get off their list.  Well I said "hello" and didn't hear anything (I don't say hello twice or else that's when it picks up).  After a few seconds I heard a recording from Wells Fargo about a mortgage or something... um, I'm renting an apartment, I don't have a mortgage!  Well I found it interesting that they said to call on M-F at certain times and Saturdays at certain times.  This call was on a SUNDAY.  I checked my caller ID log and noticed this same number has called me before - a total of 11 times since July 29.  Ridiculous.
