This number has called numerous times. When I answered it, a message repeats, "Please hold for an important message. Please hold for an important message..." It then hung up.

I called it back...it's a fund raising drive for the Indiana State Troopers Association....

These clowns need to be sued or fined.  In December of 2008 I had them remove elderly parents  number from the call list but they are once again begging.  

It can be very disconcerting for a senior citizen to get a telephone call when the pest addresses the party by their name and then reveals their affiliation, which can cause concern or panic if they believe a call from state cops regards
an accident.

There should be NO need for repeated requests to keep OFF their lists. If they want money they should stand at intersections with buckets or ring bells outside of walmart.

ITA.  And the callers try to sound as authoritative as they can, making their "requests" seem more like orders.  They are a nuisance.

This number keeps calling me.  I am on the do not call list.

this number keeps calling my elderly father on his cell and he is hard of hearing and cannot hear all they are saying, he hangs up but they apparently have him on speed dial  very alarming that is being done by group for state police,dad is no a no call list.

I too am on the no call list but still get these darn calls.  They called earlier in the week and my answer machine picked up. I also have caller ID which showed the number but name was unknown. They again called today and when I answered, no one was there.  This is very aggravating.

Over 25 years ago I worked as a driver for these idiots and quit after 3 days of listening to them in their tiny office. They were telemarketers from the east coast who traveled to Indiana to to raise money. They told me to lie and say I was a troopers wife when I picked up the money (ads for their magazine, the large contributions). I got 4% per pickup the callers got like 50%, and so on. Basically the troopers got like 10% of all funds collected. Ridiculous.

This number calls my house once a day or more, they never leave a messege. I tried calling it back, they wouldnt say who they were.

Yes , this caller is the "INDIANA STATE TROOPERS ASSOCATION" I pay for a unlisted number and yet I am getting ALL theses organizations in INDIANA calling me!!!!!   you ask why? just went to the BMV dept. to get a INDIANA drivers license and change my car registration. HELLO   I was told by a very reliable person that the BMV dept. SELLS  your phone number to different organizations through out INDIANA...... wow, if  I KNEW THAT BEFORE HAND i NEVER WOULD HAVE PUT DOWN MY PHONE NUMBER!   is'nt that agaisnt the law to sell someones phone number these days???? I do not care if they are the sheriffs, purdue university, volunteer fire dept, Indiana university, etc...... I did not give permission for my phone number to be sold! Being on that silly "do not call list" does not help! any ideas from folks in Indiana?????????????????????????????

unfortunately "charities" are exempt from the do not call list and that's how these people get away with it. you can find out just which charities are the best and according to the BBB here, the ones who don't phone solicit nor mail you all kinds of "gifts" are the ones you can trust and benefit from our donations. this one, the ITA keeps most of the money they phone solicit. I block any numbers possible. the cell phone companies allow so many numbers to be blocked so maybe try that. I can no longer block 800 numbers of any kind.

It is the Indiana State Trooper's Association and they are calling to raise money. They have a bank of callers and sometimes the calls don't go through and then someone else calls back until it gets taken off their list for that drive time, if you donate they will call every time they need a donation, which recently is about every 4-6 months. It's supposed to be for deceased state trooper's families and children, but I've heard very little goes to them but goes to pay wages for all of the people doing the fundraising and their employer. Those fundraising companies end up getting 90% of the funds and the actual not-for-profit gets 10%. Beware

I've had the same experience (asked to be removed NUMEROUS times and keep getting these calls.) and these people need to be stopped somehow. So tired of these idiots.

Indiana State Troopers call my 90 year old mother every day she has told them she is not donating, so they continue to call every morning and do not say anything.  The calls are coming from 866-298-4460. Can these calls be stopped?

When I answered this call, there was a recording thanking me for my patience. I hung up because I am not patient when someone calls me, wasting my time, because they find their time so much more important.  I called them back and said to take me off your call list.
