- Michael| 4 repliesMissed Call
- MichaelCalled stating that they were calling from Sirius Radio, which I do have an account there, wanted to verify my information, and then asked for a credit card number. I had just called Sirius today to update all my information by chance, and told them that, and that I was not about to give them my credit card over the phone when they called me and I didn't call them. Not sure if this was some sort of a scam or what.
- jim| 15 repliesi missed this phone call 2 times in 2 days now. they leave no message but i do have sirius radio. i think if they don't leave a message than it's a scam.
- BloodyMerger replies to jim| 14 repliesMissed call on my cell... No VM.
- macleinnI've been getting this call too, among others. Never answered any. You've given me all the info I need right here and I thank you.
FOLKS: Please take note - If someone calls YOU and asks for a CC #, no matter who they might say they are, you can bet it's a scam. My habit = If I don't recognize the inbound # I don't answer. - Shyy replies to BloodyMerger| 13 repliesMissed a call, did not leave a voicemail. I do have sirius radio.
- SoCalGeorgeI just got this call, didn't answer. I also have Sirius. My CC expired the other day, and I got the email warning me. I updated my info online yesterday. Let's see if they keep calling.
- creepy?| 3 repliesI got the same call today and I said I cleared up the billing info "the other day" online, and he proceeded to tell me as I was logging in to check on the phone that he just pulled it up and he recited the date of the billing and that it went through. The date checked out but this is just creepy. Did Sirius billing info get stolen? He set the call up like we were updating credit card information. That would never happen if it was legitimate. He put an expiration date out there like he was waiting for me to say it was wrong and give him the right one.
- Ed| 1 replyI've been getting this call a lot lately as well. I called sirius today for another issue and funny enough they said they didn't get my last payment. I had to address that it was detracted from my checking account as it usually does so they updated my subscription and allowed me to reaccess my account which was the reason i was calling for in the first place.
I don't usually pick up numbers I don't recognize anyways and NEVER give my credit card number to someone calling me. I would recommend the same because you have no way of verifying the caller. Always call the merchant back to a certified number and address any necessary situations with them directly instead. - fannieb| 2 repliessecond day in a row, I didn't answer and no voicemail left...should I be worried about my credit card info with Sirius radio?!?!
- Caller: unknown
- FannieBee replies to fanniebBeen getting this call for the past week and then some, I never answer and no voicemail is left, however when I call this number back, they do claim to be from Sirius radio but only give two options.
Press "1" to update payment information
Press "2" to connect to a customer service representative
or to be removed from a sirius call list, call 1-888-440-4198
Since no voicemail is left at anytime, I'm very suspicious. I have talked with Sirius lately about a Service Alert postcard I had gotten, so I know everything is just fine with my payment and billing.
When I pressed "2" at the mystery number as noted above, I was connected to someone who appeared to be from Sirius but was unfamiliar with the 866 number. She did try to tell me Sirius was calling to renew my service, which is a load of crap, since my service isn't up for renewal for about 9 months. - ren replies to Shyy| 10 repliesi missed this call this afternoon, no voicemail. i also have sirius radio
- prendo replies to ren| 9 repliesi got the call 2 times today no vm, and have sirius
- John C replies to fanniebWell, I got the same call. Answered it and talked to a woman. She was confirming my account info and corrected my misspelled name on the account. I was leary but wasn't giving any critical info...just kept going along to see how it went. She confirmed the last 4 digits of my CC with me and said it looks to be expiring this month. I confirmed and said my new cards hadn't come yet. She then asked me to take out my current card and give that information to her...UMM NO!
After hanging up, I called Sirius customer service and talked to a lady who said that was "their standard call for trying to get updated account info". I said it was really, really odd and she said "I understand"...she didn't really give a crap. I said I wouldn't give my CC info to someone who called me like that. Again, she didn't care much. I couldn't tell for sure, but it *did* sound like she had my name correct on the account now though.
Anyway, that was my experience... - Mick replies to prendo| 8 repliesI received one call last night. No message. I do have sirius.
- Greywolf23| 1 replyI just received a call from this number on my cell and another one last night. I also have Sirius radio. I just called them to verify that they were indeed calling and they were. I mentioned to Joseph that his company needs to incorporate a better method of contacting their customers and to stop the mystery calling method. I told him they need to leave a message and state why they are calling, if nothing then to say "This is Sirus Radio, please call us regarding your account".
- SpritlepThis number calls me early every morning, and late every night like clockwork. I DO have Sirius and I believe my subscription is up this month, so it would make sense if it was Sirius. However, when I renew my subscription, I'll be the one contacting them.
- Jason replies to Mick| 7 repliesFuel to the fire. Same thing. No message. I am a sirius customer. Did not answer.
I did call Sirius at the number on their website (1-888-539-7474), and the representative informed me that 866-301-7625 is not one of their numbers. - kelly replies to Jason| 5 repliesthis number has called me everyday for the past two weeks. i also subscribe to sirius radio. is there a way to block the number?
- Mike K.Missed the call... no VM, also a Sirius customer with my account about to expire. I imagine they're trying to get me to renew.
