I answered the call, was complete silience then could hear some noise but no one ever answered me.

odd.. When I answered, the guy said he was calling from Capital One. When I told him the person he was trying to reach was unavail, I also inquired the nature of the call. He cut me off and just said it was a courtesy call. Now that I'm seeing that this is a number not associated with Capital One, I might just request a DNCL.

Note: When I called the number back, I got the My Check Free or My Cheque Free thing too.

they called me to no one there. i pushed * #*#*#*# then i got disconnected.

Called quite late on Sep 4. When I called back, the number has been dicontinued, and callers are advised to "call us at the number previously provided, where an associate will be glad to help you."

If it's Capital One as others have stated, then it isn't collections. No one here has or has ever had a Capital One card!

Ive been getting the same call, but never around to pick it up.  Happened this morning during my movie, but I turn the phone off during movies etc..so I didn't get a chance to answer.  I googgled it, and to my amazement it actually came up lol.  Beautiful site btw....

As for the call, totally unrecognized and I can't get a public hit on it anywhere..apparently they aren't public record like mentioned before.  

My advice, if anything they say doesn't make complete sense, tell them where to go and how to get there.  Dont give out ANY information because you shouldn't have to.  Any company you deal with legitly will already have what they need to service you im sure.  Just be safe, don't take the chance because credit can ruin you for a very long time, and trust me no one out there will be there to catch you when you fall.

I just answer and at the same time click hangup. Can't be bothered with scum bags.

NCO Customer Marketing .. On the call display.

This number calls our house several times a day, and there is never anyone on the other end. Call display identifies them as NCO Customer Management. Very irritating.

They call sometimes 2-3 times a day 7 days a week . Never leave a messege .

I answered the phone with this number and said "Hello" at least 3 times, then I pressed and held the # key on my phone till it disconnected

I called the number back and a message came on say that they were NCO Financial and that time to time they offer special deals. ""BULL CRAP"" they are just trying to get you to click (1) to "be removed form their calling list" and as soon as you do they register your number as a call back and then the calls come even more. NCO is a sneaky company. They call from 800"s to 416's to 905's area codes and more. Even "unknown caller" so do what I do, NEVER answer a call you do not recognize because if it is a legit company they WILL leave you a voicemail.

I just received this phone call.. It took them about 10 seconds to finally say hello, and they asked for my husband. I told them that he was at work. They said that they would call back. I asked "May I ask who's calling?". He said that he would just call back another time. Again, more forcefully, I asked him who was calling. He said it was Capital One.

Called back, and got the NCO message saying that to be put on NCDL to press one... but after reading the other posts, I didn't.

Been receiving this call for at least 2 weeks now. It is so annoying and I don't bother answering.Will they ever get fed up calling

Just plain annoying... I am getting sometimes 4 calls a day from these people. Thank God for CallerID.

I hear you all....I get daily calls from this one and one other 800 number.  Never a message, and when you answer there's no-one there.  It's just annoying to have to clear it off my caller id every night after work.  The problem is that if they're calling on behalf of Capital One (or TD as my other number seems to indicate) then I have a 'business relationship' with them, so the new Canadian DNCL doesn't help.  I appreciate the 'courtesy' guys, but give it a rest, ok???

Hey! sounds like you know whats going on....NCO has been calling me from a bizzare array of different #'s over the days. I'm mad, and don't answer the phone much because of it....they use an assortment of payphones as well!....In locale.and sometimes in the middle of the night!..I have targetted all the numbers to be located exactly in the building on the North East side of Bloor St. and Yonge St...in Toronto Ontario. Upon my calling them...I reached the building security...who couldn't say anything about any of the buildings tennants or businesses. BOTTOM LINE: they are shifty.....play hard back.    Man I know people 25 years my senior, making great money, and they still haven't paid off their student loans....so what the [***]

I've had 6 calls from these morons today alone, and it's only 4 PM.

phones 2-3 times/day leaves no message,one time we answered said their from capital one,we have account but not with this number we try to talk to their manger but they dissconnect

I've been getting calls from these guys for the past few days. You have to remember that computers make these calls, then when someone answers the computer alerts an operator; if one is available they answer. I used to know someone that worked on this kind of software, and it's useful for legit companies, but what it means is they won't get tired of calling because it's a computer doing the dialing. It's possible they set a 'time out' limit, like 50 calls without an answer, and the computer will take you off the list. Either way you just have to ignore the calls and report them to relevant orgs.

Silence call with the sound of the line hanging up after about 12 seconds.

For those who get this call from this number and/or NCO Customer Management, just call the number back and follow the instructions for their Do-Not-Call-List. It's easy and it worked for me (I got the call everyday until I called back)
