texas - 27 Jul 2007received a call from this number at 5:32 p.m. today. Caller claimed to be with the ACS Firefighters Association and they were calling for donations to help purchase locators for fire fighters to use on duty in case they were trapped in buildings. My question was why are donations needed for this, don't my city taxes pay for these? He insisted that donations are necessary, but when I wouldn't agree to make a donation he finally hung up.
We are on the National Do Not Call List and I would like these phishing idiots to shut down and sent to jail. If you get a call from this number and it comes up on your Caller ID as Unavailable, it is a scam. Do not give out any information or agree to donating money. Report to your local BBB and Attorney General.

Chris in Austin,tx - 25 Sep 2007My number is a vonage account. I called vonage and found out the 866 number is a Vonage account. You can call Vonage at 1-866-243-4357 and have them fill out a Do-Not-Call form for that account.
I also had them open an investigation into the "non-profit" company.

Julia in MD - 6 Oct 2007I have received serveral calls a day for over a week from this number they hang up, don't say anything and continue to call I just received a call and I ask who I was speaking with he said, his name was Bob Wallace I told him I wanted the calls to stop he said, he was not calling me I told him how many calls I have received in the last week and 7 today, he said it wasn't him and he would take me off the damn list and hung up....I really think this is some type of scam..he was very rude and slammed the phone down...if this was a real non profit organization he would not have been so rude...

Do not call - 20 Oct 2007This numuber started calling me today. It's pretty odd cause other 1-866 numbers have been calling me for months and I blocked their number with my Verizon Voicewing serice. It doesn't matter, just another number to add to the list. I also have 1-866-611-8300 and 1-866-311-6607. I think it's all one big serice calling you to get money.
