Do you know who "they" are?  I've tried several different reverse number lookups with no results.

Associated Community Services in Southfield Michigan is actually owned by Robert W. Burland Jr.  This is his ownership documentation from the state of Michigan.

Robert Burland and his company Associated Community Services recently had to settle for $100,000 fine with the state of Missouri for calling people on the do not call list:

According to the Washington states SES, Associated Community Services only gives 31% of all our money we donate back to the charity.  In other words, a lot of the charities represented by Robert Burland and Associayed Community Services give the majority of donated money back to Robert Burland in the form of "fundraising expenses". Makes one wonder who owns the 60,000 stock in Associated Community Services. The vast majority are also represented by the same law firm.  Heres some of the charities that Associated Community Services work for:

I have simply made it a practice to not to give to any charity represented by Associated Community Services.  If any one else wants me to do some research on these charities, let me know.  You'll get a kick out of the Childrens Charitable Foundation in SC...theyre the ones who give only 8% to services.  Gets me ill that they use cancer, veterans and kids to make a buck.

These people call me on a continual basis and ask that I donate to Disabled Veterans.  I explain to these idiots that I am a disabled veteran and cannot afford to donate, also I've never heard of them.  I  just ask where's my money because I'm a Disabled Veteran.  They'll never learn.  I just hang up on them now.

This number has come up three times today on caller id. Last night,it came up once. When our caller id comes up a toll free, we don't answer it. What I'd like to know is how come we still get the toll free calls when we are on the "DO NOT CALL" list?

I've rexieved 2 calls so far from that number with no one answers--that is so far .  I've been getting calls from 866-4754-2754 for about two weeks.  I've reported them on this site and called the number back and told the recording machine that I wanted my number off their calling list and am still getting calls so now I start getting calls from this number.  enough is enough .  How do I make these calls stop.

Called but did not leave message or identify themselves.  Shows up as "unavailable" which is just what I want to be.

They don't stop calling!

A telemarketing telephone call from ACC or ACS or something like that representing a charity about Children's Last Wishes.  Upon asking them what percentage goes to the charity, they admitted that only 10% went to the charity, 10%  went to solicit other organizations to raise money for, and 80% goes to them, the telemarketing company.  I specifically requested to be placed on their do-not-call list and will be reporting them anyway.

I get calls from this number at least two to three times a day. I have called ID and don't answer out of area 866 calls.

They won't quit calling and they call several times a day

It's those donation people for Fire/police ext... If you did it once they call FOREVER. THey will never stop

Calling every 15 minutes for Youth Development Fund

Youth Development Fund, the organization that Associated Community Services fund raises for and they assured me that they had removed my number from their list by immediate return email. I also called Associated Community Services (248-352-2600) and spoke to a very nice gentlemen there who said
he would "remove my number from his dialer" immediately. Hope this helps others who are getting these ridiculous calls.

The number is for The Youth Development Fund, and they call constantly!

I worked for ACS for a matter of months before I figured out the scam. What they are doing is perfectly legal. They get a certain number of leads per week which is in their automated dialer. The men and women on the phone have no control over how many times they call. If you are on a do not call list it does not matter because the national do not call list refers to those calling to sell things over the phone. Since ACS does fund raising they are allowed to make phone calls. The way it works is there is an initial call through the yellow pages for the breast cancer society. It is not the susan g. kommen or any other charity. After they get customers to donate to the breast cancer society they are in the door. They will receive calls from what seems like every charity under the sun. Now, all of these charities that they are calling for are legitimate charities and if you go to their individual websites. It is not a total scam. However if you give once you will be in their system forever and they will call you until you give again. If you want to get the phone calls to stop you must pick up the phone and politely say to the man or woman, please take me off of ALL calling lists. The law states that if you request to be put on a do not call list they only have to do it for that one charity that they are calling for. They do not have to take you off of all their charity lists. If worse comes to worse just ask for a manager and they will take care of it. Make sure that you have it documented the date and time. At that point you can press charges. Also, all the calls in the entire office are recorded so if you do go to court you can ask for that piece of evidence. Any other questions just post it up.

This number 866-311-9739 has been calling my phone at least 10 times a day.  I usually don't answer because I know it's a sales person or something wanting money.  They never leave a message and it is very annoying.  Tonight I answered and they said it was on behalf of cancer and went on about going to their web-site if I couldn't talk to them on the phone.
