- CJI rec'd a call to verify our company info for some internet listing (yellowpagesonline?). The number 866-315-5925 was given as a customer service number. I called this number, as I felt uneasy about the internet listing as the person i spoke to asked if i was authorized to make charges to our business, and as we have never signed up for such a service. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. After the long wait a person named Shaniqua got on the phone and asked my info and placed me on hold again for another few minutes. I informed her that i was calling to verify that no charges were being incurred or memberships initialed. She confirmed and gave me a confirmation number. She asked what number i called...i asked her well, isnt this your number, dont you know? she in turn indicated there are many numbers directed to her....and the company name was Precision Communications. i guess we'll see what if anything happens from this...

- KW| 1 replyI just received a call from Precision Communications about updating our free yellowpages on line. The person's name was Wesley. He was very good at this. I don't have a good feeling about this. He just wanted to verify our information. He had to do a 3rd party verification. He also stated when he was finished with the call "welcome to the world wide web".

- jtI received this same call as the above mentioned. The person talked really fast. I was under the impression that they were just "verifying info" when they quickly asked if I was authorized to make changes to my phone number, I asked "what does that have anytrhing to do with it" The lady said, "Oh I am just verifying the phone number". I wished I would have just hung up. I guess I will have to watch for the mailed correspondence and cancel immediately.

- AngelI got a call from this company as well saying that they are from yellowpages and was verifying information if it is still the same. He insisted on speaking with me as I mentioned that he has to speak with a manager. He then asked for my full name, birthdate and at the end of the call he mentioned of a 14day free trial and will be billed after that.. He talked so fast I could barely understand and I suggest that you have to call their customer service to cancel it. Company name is Precision Communication Int'l.

- HeidiBeware when somebody calls and says they are from the Yellow Pages. This company is the biggest rip off. They call and say they are just updating their information and then guess what - you have a 39.95 charge on your phone bill. When you call them, after sitting on hold for at least 15 - 20 minutes, and tell them you want it taken off and you never authorized it , they in turn tell you that it will take up to 3 billing cycles for the credit to post. Just got the new phone bill and no credit and low and behold a new charge for 39.95. Another wonderful call to Precision Communication Int'l!!! They sure can bill you in a hurry but it takes 3 billing cycles to issue a credit. What a joke. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and my local phone company!!!
- AbrazoWe got a weird call a few months ago from some fast-talker who said he needed to verify our listing for the Yellow Pages. We use a YPPA firm to handle all our Yellow Page advertising, so we told him we were not interested. We told him repeatedly that we were not interested in his services. He asked to verify our phone number and we confirmed this was our number but repeated that we did not have any interest in his services. Two months later, our phone bill showed two months' charges from a company called American Business IT Solutions LLC, although the billing phone number was for some company called PaymentOne Corp. We have never, ever done business with either such company, but when we called Payment One, they transferred our call to American Business IT Solutions. The representative from ABITS claimed that we had accepted their telephone offer for "website hosting." We argued that we have no need for additional website hosting and have never accepted any such offer; they claimed to have the name and birthdate of an employee who authorized such charges; however, we have no employee with any such birthdate. The ABITS representative with whom we spoke said the company's phone number is 1-866-315-5925 and its address is 137 1/2 Washington Ave, Suite 271, Belleville, NJ 07109l she claimed the supervisor's direct line is 1-866-932-5001, ext 222. We urge everyone who has the misfortune of getting scammed by this company to report them to the NJ Attorney General's office and likewise file a complaint with AT&T for being so reprehensible as to allow bills for this fly-by-night outfit to be posted to AT&T invoices, since AT&T also gets paid for doing these billings!!

- Steve 752They're back. My July 2010 AT&T business bill had a monthly charge through PaymentOne Corp. for American Business IT Solutions, LLC. When I called PaymentOne and American Business IT Solutions, they both read statements that indicated to me that this was a cram or scam. We hang up on telemarketers and there is no one here with the authorization name of "Alan." Supposedly, I have assurances that I will be credited and no further charges for the unauthorized billing. Doesn't end there as far as I'm concerned. AT&T also must be held accountable. I wrote a letter to the Attorney General of my state which I will copy to AT&T, PaymentOne Corp. and American Business IT Solutions, if I can find addresses of course.

- StephanieI got SCREWED from these people!!!! Don't confirm your name or anything...they will charge you through your phone number...didn't even know this was possible!!! Basically, they gave me the choice to listen to the recording of the conversation or get one month's refund from them. I took the money and ran. I knew if they took a msg for their supervisor to call me back and play the recording I would never hear from them again.
Funny thing though, I ended up hearing the recording through the company that billed on behalf of them, ILD Teleservices. I ended up calling the Better Business Bureau. They have 9 complaints against them since Oct. 2009. All of them came up as unpursuable. I didn't even continue filing the complaint b/c I knew I would never get my money back. I then called the FTC, as the BBB recommended, and filed a complaint with them. I hope they are investigated and fined!- Call type: Telemarketer
- W.T.Don't people recognize this SCAM by now?
Don't people know how to HANG THE HELL UP on SCAMMERS?
geez! - Storm replies to KWThe same thing happened to me in Jan. 2011. Some indian man called, could barely understand his
questions. He said he wanted me to verify yellow pages. Phone number, who am I , he transferred me
to a woman who I could still not hardly understand. She ask me what I thought was credit infor. I told
her at that time the call was over and I was not authorizing nothing. Now a few months later
I look on my phone bill and behold theres a charge for 43.00 dollars and has been for several
months. I called my carrier Verizon, they reimbursed me 130.00 dollars and had a block put on
my phone. Good but to late for ILD. I have no idea what the call was for and told them call was over.
I guess if you pick up the phone they got you.... I know this is not over. I called the company
ILD represents Precision Communication International and had them close out the account , a
account I should not have to close because I did not open it. They gave me a confirmation number
for the close out. Its probably bull just like the account. - STORMAn Indian man called. Caller Id showed our area code. Picked up , we are a small business in
the area. Ask me verify for the yellow pages. We have yellow pages ads. He talked so fast
you couldn't understand him. He had me verify my phone number ask my name. Tranfered
me to another indian but a woman. All I got was some number. I thought she ask for credit inform.
I told her at that time the call was over and I was not verifying anything. The call is now over and
I hung up. 3 months later I noticed a charge attached to my Verizon business phone bill for $43.
I contacted the phone company. The took the charges off and reimbursed me $ 130. The next
month there it is again. I called phone company, they took it off and this time I was told to contact
ILD Teleservices Inc. I did which sent me to the company the represent I believe (PRECISION
COMMUNICATIONS INTERNATIONAL) never heard of them and yet I am being billed. The said
I approved it with my birthdate. I don't believe I gave them my birthdate. I hope I wasn't that stupid.
It was 5 months ago. But I do remember telling her I would NOT verify and the call was over.
I don't believe they told me the company they were with , the only thing I did understand
was Yellow Pages. Now what each month I have to contact them to take off this bull charge.
I did call Precision Communications International , they surposingly closed out the account.
The account I did not authorize . They gave me a confirmation notice. I believe I have not
heard the last of them.

- CarlyI have been scammed by this as well. I actually have an account with the real yellow pages advertising so it was rather confusing when they called. The point is, the main fault here is the phone provider that allows these things to be billed to your account through Percision Communications. I personally had AT&T, which I suspect most of you did, and they claim to allow any billing from this company and they are not required to in any way verify that information with you, the customer. Percision calls and tells AT&T to bill you and they do. End of story. So again the fault is with the phone companys. I will NEVER do business with AT&T again for this and sooooooo many other awful reasons. They still call me every week.

- JillI received a call and they informed me they were just updating our info. for a web- related yellow pages service that we already had. The guy sounded very suspicious. I confirmed our info. and gave him our website address. He assured me everything was free of charge. After I got off the phone I looked up the company, but could not find a business that fit the description of their name. I found this page and read about several other peoples horrible experiences and how these people scammed them. I called the customer service number and got a Latisha on the phone. I demanded that she cancelled all of their services immediately. I asked her to tell me the name of my business when she pulled up my account and she couldn't. I told her to cancel our service immediately and she said she couldn't because it was handled by another department.I threatened her with involving my attorney if there were any charges at all to our phone bill. She gave me a confirm number and told me she our service would be cancelled right away. We will see...I would definitely reccomend that you DO NOT use this service!!

- GaryWhen they called me, I didnt agree to change anything. I get tons of calls confirming info all the time and usually hang up. I dont recall even talking to these people. However, I called the number on my phone bill and got that same old customer service crap.
This time they messed up.
I am a former police officer and currently a private investigator in NC. I will get to the bottom of this. I plan to contact the owner of that company and straighten him out. Then I plan to file complaints with the Attorney General's office and with my phone provider.
I hope to keep you posted.
